OK - it's there - and (still) checked - and nothing's happening.
I'll log off/log on and see if it comes back.
Could it be 'just me' ?
[edit] Nope - restart after deleting all cookies didn't help. I was so sure those pictures are actually what everyone looked like.[edit]

Was the same here but is working now after toggling the option in the profile settings.

Unchecked -> saved -> checked -> saved.
No luck.
Maybe I used up my share of this feature?

I'm not getting it either, but I did notice a very hard to see light gray square appear right above the cursor when I hovered over a user link.
EDIT: The cause is uBlock Origin (for me at least).

Mine still wasn't working - so I revisted the question (here I am) - and took a shot at disabling AdBlock Plus - and there they are.

The awesomeness of Ad blockers continues.
I get it: there are some truly obnoxious ads online. The solution is just a very big hammer that is just another headache for those trying to do the right thing.
(OK, I'll stop my complaining now...)

I am going to keep mine disabled here on CP. You guys run an awesome service here, and the Ads are always on topic (I even looked ad some products advertised, as they looked quite neat).
Keep up the good work! (And don't forget to feed the Hamsters!)

Thanks mate. That means a lot to hear that.
We work hard to make it so, and you guys are amazing at helping us out and keeping us honest. Hats off to you.

Would it be possible to create a Trump bashing forum?
I'm gonna build a wall around my cubical and make Mexico pay for it!

You already have the soapbox and all major US news networks.

Knock yourself out.
This is one of the few places Trump-free (except the aforementioned forum)
Let's keep it that way.

Don't forget Soap Box 1.0[^], which seems to have some.
Surprisingly, The Back Room[^] seems to have escaped unscathed. Possibly because nobody remembers it's there.

I posted an answer to this: How do I un-delete deleted article on CodeProject[^] with a '@' name link to Sean - but it didn't show as a link even after refreshing the page, and I don't know if it sent an email to Sean either (I've followed it up with a separate email just in case).
I'd suspect that atsign names aren't being recognised in QA answers at all?

imho, this could be considered as a form of mentoring, or curation.
