I've found that the default status for any article I edit is "Published". While I'm certain that this has to do with either my protector status or rep points I find it disturbing - Even though I can be considered a good author having an average article rating of 4.9/5 I'd like to have my articles reviewed by other members of the community, especially for missing images and other bits I potentially could've missed. In general I think it is wrong to exclude certain members (apart from admins and staff) to be able to circumvent the moderation process.

You're in the minority, and we love you for that.
Many high rep, well-trusted members simply don't need (and frankly, don't want) the hassle of having to go through moderation. They would argue counter to your point
What if we made it so you could specifically send your articles to the moderation queue before they are posted? Best of both worlds?
cheers

I get that - Given the echo to my articles I wouldn't need it either. But since I don't feel about it as a hassle but as an instrument to improve the quality of my writings and therefore want it. It's a matter of personal preferences I guess.

I already can do that - By setting the "Pending" status before publishing. The problem is that I sometimes forget to set it.
Having a second button for this specific purpose would be nice, something along

Hmmm.
I'm loathe to do that because it complicates the UI for a small edge case. I understand your reasoning but can't justify it at this point.

Giving each user the ability to change the behavior in their settings?
I understand it's an edge case - If there's no quick and easy solution leave it the way it is.

The OP seemed to have posted comment on this answer[^]. However the comment isn't shown in the notification list on the left side of acccount name (the little red box) and no email was received about the comment. I also checked the junk mail.
I noticed this by accident so don't know if there are more.
[ADDED]
Also posting this message isn't shown on the rep list.

Try now. I spent the weekend getting this stuff sorted out. It wasn't a matter of a code change, more of something in SQL crossing a threshold and deciding that last week was the week it had had enough.
I can't promise that at this stage I've covered all bases, so please let me know if you're still seeing weirdness.

I'll keep an eye on the old answers and try to see if possible comments are mailed as expected and for other peculiarities

Just noticed that when posting a comment here[^], the is shown as expected but not listed in rep list. However, listed in My comments though.
Never mind! I wasn't looking closely enough or had a cached version of the page, no problems!

I stumbled over this member profile page when answering a question:
Member 12820290 - Professional Profile[^]
There is no summary (no points shown for the sections), no points shown below the avatar, and no reputation graph.
However, this may be related to the bug of not counting actions (new user had only two actions: account creation and asking a question) resulting in zero total points.

As already reported, not all QA answers are awarded with points and listet in the history. But this is only part of the error.
The error seems to apply to all kinds of activity (posting QA and forum messages, votes on posts). Even the "Sign in" entries for today and yesterday are missing in my history.
BTW: The counts of messages, QA, and comments on the profile page are updated.
[EDIT]
But spam reports seem to be not affected. I checked the 19 reported so far today and all are listed.
[/EDIT]
[EDIT2]
All spam reports has been listed until reaching the daily limit.
But a message posted in the SA forum has not been listed.

Same occurred to me yesterday and today. Nothing I have done yesterday or this morning is registering in my reputation/history, other than reporting Spam. Spam reports are registering.

There's an issue that seems to have kicked in after our database update this week. The database update that had absolutely zero to do with anything remotely related to reputation. But that's programming for you.
I've spent most of the day getting things straightened out but we're still not quite there.
Soon. (and apologies)

As per title. Pasting a link doesn't add any text to it. Not even the URL.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

It doesn't work with links from GoComics, it seems.

Copy and paste the above link and you should see what I mean.

Yeah - I suspect operator error (me)
It was in my notifications but I dismissed it. Oh well, have to hope the crown prince of Nothereisia finds another way to contact me with his money making scheme <jk>

As the title says, I did few up votes for few authors but my rep point wasn't changed. I noticed the same issue in comments(total 7), which suppose to add a 1 point increase in the rep point counter. I know it's not too much, but still doesn't work. The comments are not shown in the reputation point history as well.

Same here. Today a fraction of my activity got recorded in the reputation history...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

When you say "vote counting" you mean reputation, not the actual article or forum ratings, right?
With regards to rep storage, we have been seeing a few database issues which we're investigating. Of course, when I test it, it works perfectly for me.

Yes ... we speak about the Reputation Points ...
This comes also with "User Login" and "ask a Question" and "posted Comment" - I think since the 22nd of October
|
|
|
|
|
Still broken - but works sporadically (to add to your fun).
E.g.: I posted an answer to a Q&A yesterday and no rep points showed up BUT the answer got upvoted and that did show. Nothing for today's login. Further down the list, there's a double -1 related to some thread being removed to which I posted a reply.
Begged question: is their any leakage of this problem to others just waiting to show?
It just could be that some member's have too many points, and, like billionaires, they're sucking up the points that should be going to the middle-pointers?
