Would it be possible to add "Principal Engineer" to the list of currently available job titles?
This comes under: My Settings->About You->Your Job Title
Thanks,

I've been asking them for years to put "nap taker" as my job in the list but alas, no dice.

I did not see any change.
Just asking.

"Non English Language" is default to GIT. Clicking it, will take you to GIT. Thus, we have a middle path of Non-English language as a menu as well as GIT in community dropdown.

Ah thanks,
I did not know that.
I guess clicking on the non-english forum takes us to the most frequently visited amongst all of them.
Otherwise I think its a little unfair on the Chinese forum?

When I try to download source code zips at my government agency, the firewall often stops the download because it contains exe files. And, of course I cannot email it in to myself using gmail because gmail rejects them too.
It seems many contributors of .net code source files simply zip the project directory without cleaning it.
This is a pity, because Code Project is invaluable to me in solving problems at work.
When I view the source on the website the exe files are shown on the tree, so I think Code Project could automatically pick this up and reject such zip file contributions.
Note: I'm not about to debate my agency's firewall policy - it just is.
Thanks
Will

I agree with you there, but if the person uploads a .zip file with just binaries, then that won't work. I suggest looking for source files (e.g. .cs, .vb, .cpp, etc) and/or project file (.csproj, .vbproj, etc) to determine if the zip file should be rejected or not.

I agree. My feeling is that there should be a SRC.zip and an EXE.zip separately.

Next rev of the code includes a system that will automatically create a .exe and .dll free version of all zip files uploaded. The author doesn't have to include this version in their code - but we'll encourage it.

It could be that you posted the message just as the author was updating the article, meaning your post was directed to a different version of the article.

I'm trying to upload a JPG image. After selecting an image to upload, I get this message:
Unexpected error during upload. One or more files may not have been uploaded.
If I try to upload it again, a dialog pops up and says it's already there. But the "Current Files" list says "No Files Uploaded."

Is this an existing, published article? If so, can you please send me a link? I believe this to be a temporary error.

It's one I just started last night.
I just tried it again and it let me re-upload the image. There were 2 images. I deleted one, but it still shows up in the URL list in the dialog for inserting the image in the article. I inserted the image, but it only shows a placeholder in the editor. The image does however show up in the preview.
I've thought of a couple of items to add to the project since last night so I doubt I'll be trying to upload anything else for a few days.

I think if you re-upload the same image name you may temporarily see two image files (one with a more current date next to it). You don't have to delete anything in this case.
If it gets too hairy in there please feel free to send images and HTML to submit[at]codeproject.com.

Can we implement some feature of Notification ?
We are only notified through email, so we need to check email or the reputation change page time to time to know anything happened or not ...
While we are online on code project we can't know whether something happened or not.
On the top where username is displayed, we can add some images which will tell us about different unread notification in terms of counter....
I think it will be a cool feature ...

So just something that showed an icon when certain events occurred?
Which events?

The issue here is that these notifications would quickly swamp you. Getting notified each time a vote of bookmark occurs would immediately make the notification system noisy.
However, we'll consider a different, more subdued system.
