I uploaded the re-constructed zip file now and realized that I missed another message:
AvalonDock [2.0] Tutorial Part 1 - Adding a Tool Window
until now since I never got a notification about it - can someone please configure this for me and send me a test message through the forum? And like I said, I still think its a good idea to generate a notification mail if someone 'downloads' a file that cannot be found on the server
Cheers Dirk

OK, I now have been receiving notifications as expected, not sure if somethings changed in the meantime?

No, it was me. I checked the correct checkboxes in your settings.

I thought this had already been implemented some years ago, but it seems it hasn't. It would be nice to be able to correct/resubmit a survey response.
Thanks,

Out of nowhere, my QA filter has gone from empty to
C#2.0, C#3.0, C#, C#4.0, C#3.5, C#5 I'm logged in on two machines at present, and it shows on both.
At least, when I clear it on one, the other one clears too.
[EDIT] Just happened again. It's now
IE6.0, IE5.5, IE7, ASP, ASP.NET, Javascript, CSS, HTML, IE, XHTML, PHP, WebForms, Ajax, Python, Python2.2, Python2.3, Python2.4, Firefox, IE8, CSS3, HTML5, IE9, chrome, safari, Python2.7, Rails, IE10, Node.js, IE11 I'll leave it for a few hours in case the hamsters want to poke around in databases and similar nether regions.

I have found in the past that this happens if I select one of the article tabs on the home page.

Hmmm. Another clue for the hamsters? I haven't been able to correlate it with anything I've done.

That's basically the web development filter (admittedly terribly out of date). Did you hit the search page or hit a tab on the homepage?

No searches. On the home page, I do the straw poll, look at the "need approval" list, take the dropdowns to a forum. Usually community/lounge. I don't (consciously) touch the filters there.
Cheers,
Peter

please help me i can't download source code , i tried that more one

There are thousands of articles here, probably tens of thousands - I haven't counted. To work out which single download of all those available you have a problem with (assuming it's source code here at all) we would need to exactly which source code you are having problems with, and what happens when you try. Even then, probably the only person who can help you (and restore the download) is the person who wrote the article, and we have no idea who that is either - there are a possible 13,847,124 of them!
So start by posting a message in the forum at the bottom of the article so that the author knows there is a problem, and maybe he can fix it for you.
If that doesn't work in a reasonable time - and remember, it's a Sunday, it's Super Bowl in the US, and most of the articles here are written by volunteers who have paying jobs to do so a "reasonable time" will be measured in days, not minutes - then try posting a request here: Article Writing Discussion Boards[^] but add links to the article, and explain what you tried, and what happened as a result please.

If you opt to receive notifications in straight text, forum reply emails come through pretty squashed up - no line breaks between From:, message, signature, and DO NOT HIT...
I've also noticed there's no replacement for smilies - someone sends you a simple and it's essentially an empty message.
Not a biggie... but wld be nice to fix.

Tim! How are you?
Which email client are you using? Outlook has that thing where it removes “superfluous” new lines.
Can you forward me the email and I’ll take s look.

Yup - account's not hooked up to a valid email though.
Did you ever work on that stuff? (I still use it, but then I'm a dinosaur...)

Didn't work on it, but received UT as a result of making CP MVP. I used some of UT's networking classes in the MFC version of TakeStock (which was retired in 2011 when I released the .NET version).

Cool - TakeStock looks impressive.
I've done some work (for others) with the Interactive Brokers API, sort of auto trading stuff - but am not a finance grokking monkey myself.

From my point of view a very good thing you did to prevent from getting illegal rep points (which was possible for a long time now)

I use the "Follow member" feature to keep an eye on members I think may be spammers (plus interesting people too!)
Had a little tidy up today and the accounts were closed on all my potential spammers but I have to Unfollow manually.
No big deal, but I'd prefer if the follow just disappeared along with the account - but of course others may prefer to posit that they've gone.

This reminds me a bit on:
delete (p);
p = NULL;
without the second line is not a big problem... until it is a problem
M.D.V.
If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.
