If this has already been mentioned or discussed, my apologies.
Currently, I have to hit the browser back button to click the "Read Later" for an article. It would be nice to have this same functionality on the actual article as well (say near the bookmark button).

This is definitely on the TODO.

It would be nice if we could sort a list of articles/tips for a given user by available criteria, such as alphabetically by title, date posted, number views, current score, popularity, etc. The organization by category is nice and all, but it makes it somewhat difficult to find a specific article/tip.
I further suggest that sorting by date posted (in descending order) should be the default criteria selected, and that the currently selected sort criteria be saved as part of the user's site settings/profile so he doesn't have to re-select it every time.

You can do all of this on the search page.
Type the author's name in the search box, select authors in the first Match box, and whatever sort you want.
Then in the Save Queries, type in a name and click save. You can now just select that search query by clicking on it in the list of save queries.

I'm talking more specifically when I look at "My Articles".

You can always "search" for your articles.

My point is that I already have a list of my articles - I want filtering capability on THAT page.

No.
I am admittedly in a mild state of annoyance because of work crap, so I'm not really on the lookout for humor today.

In that case, you can click 'Just My Stuff' to filter your search results by you as the author.
There is also 'My Bookmarks' to search things you have bookmarked.
The My Articles page is based on SQL stored procedures and is much more difficult to modify.
The Search Page uses Lucene.Net, and was designed to offer much more choice in how you sort and filter what you want to see. Also, its much faster.
Give it a try. I think you will be pleasantly surprised what you can do with it.
If you have issues or suggestions on improving it, let me know.

I second this suggestion. Would be great to be able to sort by publish date.

You're going to have be more specific before CP can answer your question.

Look at how much activity the OP has so far. I doubt CP needs much more information.

I saw that on two elements this afternoon:
"This is an old version of the currently published article."
If this is actually an old version, why should we have to moderate it?
I don't remember having spotted that before.

I think there's a blockage in the plumbing. Someone probably posted too big of a solution...

It certainly could have been database issues. For the past couple of weeks we've had some database spikes that have been a major headache. We've been working hard to reduce these as well as ensure we have retry code in place.
