If a message get deleted due to reports... is it intentional that the hanging posts are counted as undo for the authors and the respective reputation subtracted again?
First of all, I don't care about the rep points and I am not asking for reinstatement. It is just curiosity.
I was searching for an answer I gave last days in my history and I have seen 2 undos in the first page, both belonging to the same conversation. As I didn't delete anything I went to the link and the original message was a message "automatically deleted"
Message is:
here[^]
@afzaal_ahmad_zeeshan and @Richard-MacCutchan did it happen to you too?

That is quite a dilemma...
Because the post isn't owned by me and yet I received -3 (downvote + undo) for post I never wrote. Same, that the reputation points (only 3 of them) aren't a problem but the system needs to be fixed. It might be removing the message but alongwith it is doing an undo for everyone in notification list.

You got the negative points because the messages you did write in the message get canceled too. See answer below.
It is by design, question closed

I cannot be sure, but I get a couple of -1's marked for undo on a message that has been removed today. I so rarely look at my rep that I would never have noticed.

It is useful if you need access to something you wrote not so long ago and don't remember where it was
But, yes... a better memory would be even better

When a question is deleted then all rep points associated with that question are reversed.

Ok... than it is design and not an issue.
Thanks for the answer.

This is by design. I'll add it to the TODO list to be changed (but it is low priority unfortunately)

When accessing articles on CP I am encountering a Webpage Error on IE11. The error reads
Line 1
Error: Object doesn't support property or method 'includes'
By the way, it would have been nice to be able to attach a graphic that depicts the error.

I can reproduce that, but only when signed in.
SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support property or method 'includes'
a.min.js (1,27275)
The offending part of the code seems to be:
bt=function(){for(var n=!0,i=window.location.href,t=0,r=PIIViolatingUrls.length;t<r&&n;t++)n=!i.includes(PIIViolatingUrls[t]);return n}
which seems to be part of the code that inserts the titles for pasted links.
The String.prototype.includes()[^] function is not supported in IE or Opera. MDN has a sample polyfill.

It needs to be fixed. CP should be aiming at all browsers. IMHO, it should also limit its exuberance to HTML4.

I agree. My comments were aimed at the hamsters to help them locate and fix the bug.

You can - you have a "personal area" where you can store files and provide a link to them for reference:
1) Click on your username at the top of the page.
2) Look on the left side of the screen
3) Click "My Uploads" and it's pretty obvious from there.
You need a certain rep level to do it, but your profile page says you have the privilege, so that shouldn't be a problem.
You end up with a link like this:
Multiple emails[^]
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

The more difficult that we make things, the less likely that I will use them. Sorry, I'm suggesting that there be an upload link or attachment link right in the composing screen.

Great idea, just think how much more interesting information the trolls, spammers and other pond life, could add to their messages.

I would like to add that bug reports should be made as easy as possible. Failure to do so will result in a reduction in bug reports.

You almost make it sound like that would be a bad thing!

You flagged your message as a Suggestion, rather than a Bug, so it is not likely to get near the top of the work queue any time soon.

I changed it to bug

Took me a while (oddly) for this error to reproduce itself but I see it now and we're on it. Thanks for the report, Gus.

The blog Learning to code using the WIN32 the easy way, using BASIC[^] has tags for "AI", "neural", "machine-learning". These terms don't appear in the blog text and are totally irrelevant to the content. The blog author (not me) has no idea where the tags came from (see Comments there).
What have the tagging hamsters been drinking?

The blog aggregator is a heavy drinker. But we made him that way so I guess that makes us cruel Gods. He basically takes his best guess and mostly guesses wrong.
We're trying to make him better but it's one day at a time, you know?
I've fixed the tags a bit.
Thanks,

Hi Team,
While trying to submit article using the Application submission Wizard, its my observation that there are lot of typos for the each of the categories..
For example in the Topic section for Tags to be selected, Raspberry - is spelled as Respberry. - and the recommendation is - (Raspberry Pi).
There are also other typo and lower case issues. Can that be updated please.
Also - Can a quick review be done for all the Tags - and deprecate those that are not used.. one I saw is resize and Resizable in topic category.. - not sure why 2 and what difference are these 2 tags making..
Regards,
Hussain Patel
