There are lot of reposts in the QA this morning - more than the usual...
There is a bug in the posting?
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

See some posts below.
When posting questions and answers an error is shown but the posts will be there.

Don't: just try a refresh and you will most likely see a successful result.

you mean ,user has to refresh the page after accepting the solution?

Edit: well, looking at the page now, it appears 3.15.3.15 is listed as being provided in March 2015. So perhaps I missed that, and the code has not been updated.
This article, by Christophe Bertrand, "UniversalSerializer," is on today's CP home page, and I'm delighted to see it there: [^]. imho, the article/code is a significant achievement that advances the "state of the art" in .NET Serialization/Deserialization !
You can figure out that the code has been updated by comparing the new download version at the top of the article page to the versions listed at the end of the article. In this case, there's no commentary in the article about what may have been changed, bugs-fixed, etc.; the version change is from 3.15.1.12 to 3.15.3.13.
This is not the first time that I've been puzzled trying to figure out whether the article text has been changed as well as the code.
If it doesn't require too great an effort on CP's part, and there's a "graceful" way to include some top-level information when an update is made, that would be most appreciated.
thanks, Bill

There have been several instances over the last few hours of multiple postings of the same question in quick answers. Too many for it to be a coincidence.
I suspect the members are getting an "our servers are overworked at the moment" message and just blindly trying again, but just in case this is me letting you know about it
Edit - Sorry, hadn't realised the post below Bugs and Suggestions - CodeProject[^] was essentially the same problem

Yes,questions getting posted multiple times, when i try to post question there was some error messages even-though its posted, meanwhile i tried to solve the error message and keep submitting. then i see related entries as like my question title.

And that is the problem. If you just wait a minute or two, and then look first you will probably find that the question or answer is posted successfully.

In this message: [^] my intent was that the 'location in the comment appeared as shown here:
widget.Location = new Point(200,200); // 'Location ... not 'location !
But, the editor insists on rendering 'location as: 'Location
Let's see if I can show that in action:
widget.Location = new Point(200,200); Uhhh ... yep, thar' she blows.
thanks, Bill

Why would the editor even have a feature for that? That could easily lead to a lot of headaches.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?
The metaphorical solid rear-end expulsions have impacted the metaphorical motorized bladed rotating air movement mechanism.
Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

OK, you win the prize for the oddest bug ever.
I'm on "holidays" for the next couple of weeks but I'll try and dig into this one.

In a Windows 7 Pro x64 and Internet Explorer, when I try to file a new question in the Q&A and I press the SUBMIT QUESTION button, the IE tab shows the circle rolling as usual, but it stays there forever.
I've just posted two exact questions due to that (already deleted one).
The second question is already posted (I have used another tab to see it) but the tab I used to post it is still "uploading" the question
As always thank you for listening/reading and for this wonderful site.

But my answer was posted successfully , confirmed with another browser tab before pressing the Submit button again

Attempting to reply to a post in the Lounge displayed the following message:
Items that need attention:- You must supply an email and name for this message.
- There were problems with your new message
What on earth does this mean?

Did it happen again?

No.
I did some testing and was able to replicate it when the user is logged out (positive test case). However, at the time it occured, I was logged in (and a subsequent attempt to post the message worked).

Could someone who works for CP give me the thread id for Lounge message 3643241?
The message is 6 years old, so it just times out, and loads the first page. But if I have the thread-id I can directly view that thread (does not time out even for the oldest threads).

I just tried This url[^] and was able to get the message. We appear to be having some timeout occurring, so that may have caused your issue.
