I read his comment in the SPAM forum. Is it legitimate? He claims it was marked as closed because it was "without a reference." I haven't been in the articles section but if that is the only thing he saw as to why it was closed it seems that "without a reference" may not be descriptive enough in cases of plagiarism.

It's the standard CP text that says "this article is not available for viewing..." And doesn't include the words " because you stole it from someone else you thieving little %£&#@%!@v"
Possibly because the Hamsters don't want to be sued...

Thanks for the heads-up. Sean's on it.
I've *just* touched down in Melbourne so apologies for being out of touch for a few days. Back in the drivers chair, give or take a little jetlag.
cheers

Could we add Linux to Platforms, Frameworks and Libraries?
You can tag as Linux... but anyone else think a new category would be a good idea?
We could also add Mac and IOS too

With all the recent spam, would it be a good idea to allow heavily trusted users to blacklist URLS or sites, and then redirect all posts containing them to a blackhole?
Obviously open to abuse/misuse. However, might help control the problem if the spammers never see there posts appear. Would be interesting to test the effectiveness of appearing to accept the message and blackholing silently verses returning Post Not Acceptable messages.

Is it possible to become a protector to be able to lock some account/member in case of spamm posting?
Is it possible to delete question (reported as a 'spamm')?
I declare to protect this site from spammers (etc.). I want to be a protector! Seriously!

Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
