Hi Chris,
I am facing same problem again.. Please resolve this bug

I'm unable to find var button in new editor.
var button was used to Wrap the Selected Text in 'code' Tags: For code within sentences.

It's currently on the ToDo list.
I hope I can kick the plugin out by Wednesday.
I will never again mention that Dalek Dave was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel.

Why does the "Latest Discussions" section of the front page have Q&A questions? These are not discussions....
I would expect that this section should contain the latest from the programming forums (i.e. C#. Web dev, and definitely not Lounge/Soapbox/Backroom etc.)
|
|
|
|
|
Well, yes, technically they are questions but they often digress into discussions.
However, I'm not going to defend that stance. It'd be a mug's game. Let me change it to "Latest Questions".

That's not the outcome I was expecting!
Rather than change it to Questions, change the content that appears under it.
On the the front page you have all the various sections, Community, Articles, Show Case, Best Picks, Latest News and the one in "Question" Latest Discussions.
Given that the Q&A questions asked can frequently be just drivel and garbage, I would have thought it be better to maybe ignore them from the frontpage and just keep to the real Discussions that occur under the various programming forums where chances are quality is going to be better and topic variety more varied.
"Select Top X message from
(Select forum from Forums where forum.name Not In ("Lounge, Backroom, Soapbox, site bugs, spam watch, etc.")
) where message.flagged = 'false' sort by message.date desc "

Is there any documentation related to flags in quick answer section? currently we have below flags
- Unclear or Incomplete
- Repost
- Not a question
- Off-topic
- Spam/abusive
for example check below question,
Incremental Search results to feed into a gridview[^] and the comment was made by
Quote: This site does not work like that. We don't write code to order here. You either need to attempt to do this yourself or go to a site where you can hire someone to do it for you.
So it is clear that this question is not fit into quick answer section but the question is which flags we going to use!

Its his view only. If some one states something it doesn't mean that its correct and you are suppose to follow it. As per as the question is concerned, you did it right. The explanation OP provided was not clear and you raised the appropriate Flag.
First of all, don't think what others are doing. Use Flags to report what you think. Further, if you are not sure which Flag should be raised where, then leave it. No documentation is available especially for Flags. I think its not required because the names are pretty clear.
- Unclear or Incomplete - Used as you did in this case
- Repost - Used when same question asked by same Member
- Not a question - Write code for....It should do.....type of questions
- Off-topic - (e.g.)How to delete my account? in QA.
- Spam/abusive - Advertising(Spam) or any abuse

"Please provide me with codes to achieve the above"
It's not a question. It's a request for code. Very straightforward.

...should probably not show threads that have "Spam" or "Abuse" votes.
At the moment pretty much all it is showing is call-girl ads complete with phone numbers...

Earlier it didn't show messages with reports, so I think it has to do something with this[^].

I can understand that, but in this case since it seemed that no matter how many SPAM votes they got they wouldn't die - they were visible in the lounge for hours, and stayed on the Home page until I created a set of dummy messages to push them off the list. Perhaps a quick check on the cached items to ensure spamVotes == 0 before display? Just with that kind of material on written on the site "Front door" it's going to put some people off...

Look at the top right of this page.
Hover your mouse over your username.
When the drop down opens, click on "My Settings"
There is a "Change..." link right beside "Password" on the first page.
When you have set it, press the "Save my Settings" button at the bottom of the page.
