What a very helpful reply, thanks you very much (
What I do is this:
- Go to www.codeproject.com
- Log in with my email address and password
- Click on the little arrow next to my name and click My Settings
- Select the Newsletters tab page
- Remove an arrow somewhere
- Click Save my Settings
and then nothing happens. Signing out and logging in again shows the same old settings, nothing has changed.
Did I do anything wrong?

Arrow? I see no arrow in Newsletter Tab.
And you know, Newsletter Tab is all about subscription to CP's Newsletter and if you want to enable/disable the Notification emails. You won't see it directly in your CP account.
And one more thing, when you click "Save my Settings" button, you will be notified that it was successfully saved.
Like this..
Your details have been updated.
This is located at the top of the tabs. If you didn't see this, then you can say that your profile wasn't updated.
Okay, now, take a deep breath, stay calm, and try to do what you've done again in your settings. Then tell me what happened.
Hope my reply now will help.

I meant 'checkmark' when I wrote 'arrow'. Sorry.
The Save my Settings button doesn't seem to work in any of the tab pages of my settings. Again, a tried this in both IE and Chrome. Consequently I don't get this message Your details have been updated.
This is exactly what I do:
- I log in on www.codeproject.com, so that eventually my name appears in the top bar of the website.
- I click on the little arrow next to my name and select My Settings. I now see the properties of my account.
- I click on the Text radio button next to Email format (it was set to HTML).
- I click on Save my Settings. Nothing happens.
- When I sign out and log in again, the original settings are still there.
Isn't that strange?

Seems last 2 days CP QA board wrestles with few bugs, for example:
1) notification system: not all notifications are displayed,
2) reputation system: points are added but 'stars are not going shines'
Are CP servers overworked or something?

I was about to report it too!!!
Sorry @Chris-Maunder but it is a bit hard to follow QA without notifications...
[EDIT]
As of 25th of May is still an exisiting bug - and it buggers me a lot

Hi,
When I comment on one of the questions from QA[^], it gets doubled. But I am sure that I commented only once.
Can you please take a look? Thanks.
PS. I don't know if you can see the other comment after I delete it. But on my side, I can see it clearly even I've deleted it.

This happens occasionally due to database delays - though it shouldn't happen.
In theory it's impossible. In practice, though...

It also adds twice on the rep points.
I encountered this twice or thrice IIRC.

Why are the QA Solutions no longer numbered?
It's now more difficult to cross-reference between them (for comparison or giving attribution).
Also, since in the past they were numbered any descriptive text that did cross-reference (as above) now makes less sense.
It doesn't appear to save any space in layout.
A positive attitude may not solve every problem, but it will annoy enough people to be worth the effort.

Hi,
I think adding the ability to any user to follow an "Unanswerd question" in CodeProject may be very intressting.
Since such a fonctionallity dosen't exsist, i generaly put a comment in the unaswerd question (i am intreseted in) to follow any update done in the subject.
What do you think about the suggestion?
PS : Following a question means to have notification when an answer or a comment is given by any user.

Well I, for one, think this is a great idea.

Ziee-M wrote: Since such a fonctionallity dosen't exsist Yeah, I think the functionality used to be there. Sort of. If you look at your bookmarks, on the right hand side there is a "Watch" option, which I believe is intended to work as you are suggesting. There used to be a "My Watched Items" menu entry on your Profile page, but I never saw any updates to the things I had chosen to watch.
I remember taking part of a similar discussion...let me see...here we go: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4285887/QA-answer-notification.aspx[^]

Hi Guys
A few days ago we got a bunch of spam messages (http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4822911/Nile.aspx[^]).
I reported them all as spam and reported the member as a spammer too.
Is there a time period that needs to elapse before such messages and accounts are removed, or does it require a certain number of votes?

There needs to be a certain number of votes for messages and accounts to be removed. Reporting in the Spam and Abuse forum[^] gets quick action.
(Messages and account all gone)

The name you supplied has already been registered. If you already have a CodeProject account using this name then please sign in (or you can retrieve your password). I was already signed in. I even clicked the "sign in" link - which appeared to do nothing - and tried the update again - with the same result.

I'll need more info, please.
Are you trying to change your display name? If so, what to? I'll have a go from my end and see what's happening.

I was trying to add an extra witty comment to my forum signature.
I appended the extra text on a new line after the existing one. I then hit save and ...!

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to receive the Insider newsletter on another email address as well.
I have a private CP account, but I would like to receive the Insider at work too (so I'd like to receive it at two email addresses).
Is this possible without creating a second account?
And could it, for example, be possible to create one account and send the Insider to the entire company?
It's an OO world.

public void DoWork()

throw new NotSupportedException();
