Guys, could you please reinstate this[^] account? The poor user asked a programming question in the lounge and seems to have been removed as a result - their only real crime was being new to the site. If we keep up removing new accounts for innocent mistakes, we will get a reputation for being elitist and inhospitable.

That reputation is already there.

We need 2 features to avoid this.
0) Move message to proper forum.
- Every week, I have seen couple of programming questions in Lounge. Rarely @ S&B forum, Article Help forum, etc.,
- And wrong forum posts (Ex. C# question in Mobile forum).
1) Bury[^] option. This could help to avoid bad abuse reports.
But I know that these're not simple things to implement quickly. Just saying

Don't you afraid to be banned because of re-post?

No, I'll register again using same email & pick the same user name. I'll get everything except few things.

I thought that was 'the other site'. It is only the lounge the is elitist, everywhere else is relaxed a chillin' mon.

Good morning,
I tried to download sample in article "IWebBrowser2 Wrapper Class", but reach a black page : "An error occurred in this page. The error has been recorded and the site administrator informed."
Is there a specific issue ?
Best regards

I just had a quick look into the Article IWebBrowser2 Wrapper Class[^] and it seems like the zip file is visible in the Editor, but not available on the CodeProject server.

When we add an answer, at bottom left inside the answer box, it shows the name of the member who answered with DateTime Stamp.

Here the reputation points was surrounded by a colour usually the highest badge earned by member.
Currently, it is not showing any colour.

Go to "My articles" page & check you have 5th Tab "Drafts". Possibly you could see that there.

Nope, it isn't there - A new, empty article was added instead.
This seems to happen if you open the article to edit it, and then immediately click cancel and go back.

What was the name of the article? It doesn't appear in the article table, the working (draft) table nor the versioning table.

It was the little writeup I emailed you about last week, also posted here[^].
Would be a real bummer if it is vanished forever, at least a critical bug on your task list.

I've gone over the code and the only way I can see an article can be actually nuked is if it's in draft mode (ie you've never hit "submit" while editing and you then hit Cancel, or if you delete it, then hit the "nuke" button.
You mention you have a PDF version. We'll happily take that are restore the article ourselves.
I'm really sorry this has happened. It's...unusual.

I mentioned that I can make one if anyone needs it [Now I can't, anymore].
To clarify what I did: I opened it in draft mode, and then hit cancel without saving it because I assumed that it just would not do anything, and not replace everything I wrote with the default template. You maybe need to fix that, since I heard stories like that earlier.

Well. Sh*t happens, even if I am kinda pissed now. It was hard work, and a lot of screenshots included until I got to the point where I was .

No, it's not this one - We are talking about a second article which was a draft here on CP.
