Sometimes (?), the last posts in a forum page cannot be voted for - the vote scale is simply not displayed, so I cannot click on 1 ...5.
After having seen this behavior several times, I recognized a pattern : I think that it happens for the posts which should normally not be displayed on this page (because being nb 26+ on a 25-page-display-scheme, for instance) , but get added so that every answers to a thread stay on the same page.

Are you using an add-in such as CPHog?

Yes, I believe I must be one of the last CPHog users... I'll give it a try without it, to check if the problem is to blame on CPHog.

OK, this is definitely a CPHog issue. Since Shog is not maintaining it anymore, I suppose things like that will arise more and more.
Makes me wonder how long this "bug" has already present, and I only noticed it now...
Do you have the CPHog sources ? Maybe I could have a look at it ?

CPHog source is at http://shog9.com/greasemonkey/CPhog.html[^]
Update it and write an article on CodeProject. I'm sure Shog won't mind.

Occasionally when I post a message in a forum, I get the a message like 'This message has already been posted', but I had just written the message and clicked 'Post Message' once. I think it may be an issue with my laptop's mouse settings (it has a habit of randomly changing on me), but am not sure. I have seen it several times, and have seen it post a message twice, and deleting one deletes the other. I have seen it in IE and FireFox.
I think computer viruses should count as life. I think it says something about human nature that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive. We've created life in our own image.

I think this cannot really be avoided, I get it also from time to time. Servers do not necessary answer as the hamsters would like them to.

Makes sense.

A double-tap will send two requests to the server, and so you will get a message saying the message has already been posted. We could add some stuff in to avoid double-taps, but it sounds like the measures I'm thinking of taking would probably be too slow for a mouse on speed, plus this is the first I've heard of this issue so I'm loathe to devote too much time to such an isolated issue.
The double-post, where deleting one deletes the other, is an extremely odd one, though, and I can't understand how that can happen. Messages are deleted by message ID, which is enforced by the database to be unique. I can't even begin to imagine what's going on here.
Next time you see it please send me a screen shot, or better, do a "View Source" and send me the HTML please.

I've just copied the text from the OP and selected "Quote selected text" and in my preview it worked perfectly.
In the final message the quoted text appeared just after the signature...
PS: I hope this has nothing to do with my cache.
The link[^] to the final message.
Thank you!
PS: it seems it is not only in my computer that happens... now that I've broken it, please don't fire me from here...

I see the same thing, so I think it is a bug.

Thank you Zac!
The last two "bugs" I announced were due to the cache in my browser...

There seem to be a lot of bugs with the forums lately.

Then I guess it's FireFox trying to annoy the hell out of me. I am going to try it in IE and Maxthon 3.
