Hi,
i don't know if this is available.
What is CodeProject API i am asking for : Any User can do all the work through code (C# API call) like login/logout into CP,get questions, get comments, reply for particular question, post an article (Everything).
Reason for Asking this Question : it would be great if we have Outlook like CodeProject desktop version.
I don't know how many people prefer desktop application more then web-based. but if CP provides some API then we can create some notification application, CP on Desktop or more.
Let me know if my question is not clear. Hoping for your reply.
Thanks
-Amit

There are two forums at the time of approval of an article:
1. Discussions on this specific version of this article. Add your comments on how to improve this article here. These comments will not be visible on the final published version of this article.
2. Discussions posted for the Published version of this article. Posting a message here will take you to the publicly available article in order to continue your conversation in public.
I just added one comment in forum 1 for improvement[^] of the article. I found, the message was posted in both the forums(duplicate). To me, it is a bug.

A weird behavior which I probably did not see before appeared today: I create an answer in the Questions & Answers forum and submit it in a usual way, by a click of a button. It created a post successfully from the first attempt, without any problem except this: in one case, 3 identical answer posts were created, a little later — 2 identical posts.

I'm not sure about this one: perhaps too much work for too little payoff; but, I'll put it out here, anyhow.
Would it be valuable if the " 'new' in yellow background" area was clickable: and took you to the first new post you have not read yet in the thread ?
best, Bill

Would probably be better to have those on one line. Either that, or delete any accounts that downvote me. I would find either approach acceptable.

Hi Code Project,
I am considering using code from an article that uses the CPOL license. I would be compiling the source code into my commercial application executable, not distributing it directly. However, if I do this it's not clear to me what I would need to do to conform to section 5.e of the CPOL:
"You may distribute the Executable Files and Source Code only under the terms of this License, and You must include a copy of, or the Uniform Resource Identifier for, this License with every copy of the Executable Files or Source Code You distribute and ensure that anyone receiving such Executable Files and Source Code agrees that the terms of this License apply to such Executable Files and/or Source Code. You may not offer or impose any terms on the Work that alter or restrict the terms of this License or the recipients' exercise of the rights granted hereunder. You may not sublicense the Work. You must keep intact all notices that refer to this License and to the disclaimer of warranties. You may not distribute the Executable Files or Source Code with any technological measures that control access or use of the Work in a manner inconsistent with the terms of this License."
For example, do I need a checkbox in my install program that points them to the CPOL and/or the article, and asks them to read it and agree to it? My users wouldn't necessarily understand why they would have to do this since the CPOL code would only be a very small part of my application.
Thanks for any clarifications.
Regards,
Kevin
