So you were doing this live and only pursued this option after the crash?
Also, I still can't vote on IE at work. That is I have to hit F5 to vote a few times before it fails again. But every time I hit F5, I can vote a couple of times before it does fail.

I just thought I'd share a couple of things I've noticed, in the unlikely case you haven't noticed it yourselves.
- I was most of the time logged out.
- I was ALWAYS logged out on the "New Message" page
- The last updated date varied wildly
Web04 | 2.5.120604.1 | Last Updated 10 Aug 2007
Web02 | 2.5.120604.1 | Last Updated 10 Aug 2007
Web01 | 2.5.120604.1 | Last Updated 6 Jun 2012
Web01 | 2.5.120604.1 | Last Updated 23 Mar 2002
Web03 | 2.5.120604.1 | Last Updated 23 Mar 2002
Web04 | 2.5.120604.1 | Last Updated 7 Jun 2012
Web02 | 2.5.120604.1 | Last Updated 10 Aug 2007
Web01 | 2.5.120604.1 | Last Updated 7 Jun 2012
Whenever the date was the 6th or 7th of june 2012 things seemed to work. otherwise not

Hi Jörgen,
Apologies for the delayed response. We were frantically fixing the problem. It should be good now. You aren't still being logged out when adding a new message, and the date isn't still varying wildly, is it?
Thanks,
Sean Ewington

Everything seems fine since a couple of hours, but the string at the bottom of the page reads: "Web02 | 2.5.120604.1 | Last Updated 10 Aug 2007"
But having tested it on several forums, that date seems to be consistent for the few replies and new messages I tried.

That date is actually OK, but thank you kindly for checking on a few forums, as well as your detailed initial report. Very glad to hear all is well.
Thanks,

It seems to me that you had already fixed it when I posted.
I guess I should have mailed you at webmaster@codeproject.com instead of repeated retries.

Both webmaster and this forum are the correct places for the issue. You did good soldier. *salute*

Thanks very much for the catch. There were some problems with aggregated blog entries showing up and fixing that problem unfortunately created a few duplicates. I've been trying to catch them and appreciate the assist.

I've had two problems with the site today: first I got logged out between looking at a page and pressing the Reply button, and had to log in to avoid "posting as an anonymous user" (which I didn't know we could do anyway). Then just now I got switched between fluid and fixed layout without touching anything, except the F5 key.
I haven't added any software today, my browser is still Chrome 19.0.1084.52, just as it was last week, and I've had no problem with any other sites. Is it possible that some cookies are expiring at different rates? A quick look at the 15 cookies you have here and the expiry dates are a bit all over the place (10 October 2036, 3 December 2012, 3 March 2015, 14 May 2014, 12 November 2012, 6 June 2014 and so on)
It's not a major problem, but the fixed / fluid change is not the first time, and it's a little disconcerting!

I faced the same some 3-4 hours back from now. Suddenly on page change, my fluid layout changed to fixed.
Further, the page size too got reset to 25 and I have to again set it back to 50.

My page size stayed the same at 50, but it's good to know the Hamsters aren't just out to get me

I've had the fixed/fluid issue as well. And yes, it is annoying. Never seen the logout issue, though.
public class SysAdmin : Employee
{
public override void DoWork(IWorkItem workItem)
{
if (workItem.User.Type == UserType.NoLearn){
throw new NoIWillNotFixYourComputerException(new Luser(workItem.User));
}else{
base.DoWork(workItem);
}
}
}

I had the logout issue and user profiles not displaying earlier today, but everything seems to be working again
Just because the code works, it doesn't mean that it is good code.

Haha, nice bug. FYI, it seems to apply to all articles needing approval.

Should be good now on all articles needing approval.

I remember something similar already reported. Search for me is not working from last couple of hours. I observed, with 'everything' as checked, it does work most of the times. It's the filters like 'Just by stuff', etc that fails often.

I attempted to break the search with my own hands, but have failed. Is there a specific term or instance you tried that I could use to re-create?
Thanks,

I would say specific instances. It's not replicable all the time. But, last few days I am facing it at odd instances. Today, it was for little long. (Not to be confused with today's hamsters issue that everybody faced)
Next time, when it will happen, I will share the time, search word, web server name if that helps.
This is what I too see: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4270195/CP-Search-functionality.aspx[^]
