Pasting a link in a message (try pasting http://ravib.com/adv/) causes the spinning cursor to show for several seconds, after which the link is simply pasted as plain text.
This used to work before.

Looks like it could just be your site. Other sites seem to work fine.
I wonder if it's because you've got a <link> in your header before the <title> element?

Richard Deeming wrote: I wonder if it's because you've got a <link> in your header before the <title> element? Yes, that may be it. But I think that's a (new) bug in CP's parsing logic. This used to work fine until now, and I don't believe items in the <head> element need to be ordered.

Do you have any blocks on your website? If I run the page locally in development it works instantly. When our page sniffer runs from CodeProject.com the connection to your site is timing out. Same code.

No blocks. In fact, ravib.com is hosted by the same guys who host CP.

Perhaps it's a loopback problem? If the CodeProject server's making the request to the public IP, but the destination server's actually behind the same firewall, maybe the firewall's struggling to route the request to the right place.

It's not layout or markup: when I run the code from my local dev machine it works fine. It's only when the request comes from CodeProject's servers that there's an issue.

But does your dev machine sit on the same network segment as the server?
I'm just wondering whether there's a routing issue trying to bounce traffic in and out of the same firewall, if both servers are hosted by the same people.

That's the issue. We can't reach ravib.com from within our network.
You need to give Montu a call and get him to sort this out. It's a network issue.

Steps to reproduce:
- Reply to a message.
- Try to select text in the original message starting at the first column.
- Curse.
- Try again.
- Curse again.
- Try again.
Expected result: The text should be selectable on the first try.
Actual result: The zero L-margin makes it very difficult to do this.

Sometimes a workaround for this can be selecting the text from right to left, bottom to top.

Yes, that's what I've been doing.

I double clicked on "Steps" then dragged the cursor down to /ravi, hit ctrl+C and pasted.
I know you mean "when you try and select the text character by character". I'll see what I can do to alleviate this. For now, though, there's an alternative method you may want to try.

It was closed because of the link you have put on your name. And since it was the second time you did that, your question was considered as spam and thus closed.

You cannot reopen a question which has been closed. You can try to ask a new question, without any spammy link this time. I would also advise to remove the link you have in your signature at the moment, as it could trigger a report as well.

I was suddenly signed out this morning, and the sign in worked on the Lounge. Then on the home page, I was signed out and login didn't work - this repeated for every page I tried - with "member not found" until suddenly all was well again.
At a guess, the login server went down for five or ten minutes?
Seems fine now ... but you might want to check the logs.

I'm guessing the database had indigestion after what I put it through the last couple of days. Our logs show that database issues have been reduced since then, so here's hoping.

hi,
I imported an article from GitHub and couple of days later I pushed my recent commits to GitHub. However, I can't see any changes of article content on Code Project.
Shouldn't it be automatically updated after commit to GitHub?
Please help.
Best regards,
Adam.

There were several issues with imported GitHub projects, so I believe automated activities related to GitHub are on hold while the area is being reworked. For example, see GitHub project issues.

There's a new version 13-Feb-20 12:38 which shows some changes in content from the previous version updated at 12-Feb-20 5:24. Is this the update you're referring to?

Latest revision (8) of article Feb 13 contains my latest changes I made manually using Code Project editor. It should be marked as "publicly available" (currently the previous revision 7 has this mark) because actually it is publicly visible.
Feb 12 I pushed my last commit to GitHub. However, it didn't change the article content on Code Project, I noticed that GitHub webhook returned HTTP response code 500. The same day, couple minutes later I only changed headers of the article by Code Project editor. The next day Feb 13 I tried to manually redeliver GitHub webhook but without success (HTTP error 500 again). So I decided to make the changes manually on Code Project directly.
Kind regards,
Adam.
