Your link is something recursive. In case you refer to the report of Nelek, from my point of view the "Icon Problem" has not been solved yet, more it became worse

I'll look into it.

I don't see any problems. if you are concerned about your icon, you are not a member of the Protector group. You have the ability to moderate articles due to your massive reputation.
We add people to the Protector group that we trust, and may not have the reputation points necessary to moderate articles.

I wasn't reporting that for myself; the icon for protectors was wrong, I never told about mine.
On yesterday the proper icon seemed to be back.

I've been writing up an article and just before I go to publish I thought "Ooo! A spell check! I need that!" So ... I pressed the button.
And it shows a dialog, and hangs:
Close button does nothing, Cancel does nothing - it just sits there.
And if I try to open it again to see how much I have saved, it just says: Cp is whitelisted and shows greyed out on the page.
Please don't tell me it's all gone ...

There is an auto-saved version of an article you have been working on today. You should be able to open it and continue editing it.

Yep - but when I try to open the article from my articles list, the content source appears briefly, then all I see is the ad blocker message. I can't see anything else on the page which lets me load a previous or autosaved version.

Hang on - If I press the "source" button, it looks to be there.
Ah! Preview works - but I can't edit it in WYSIWYMGIYAL* mode.
Save that version, and edit it again, and ... I still can't see it.
I'll try closing the spellcheck-version-tab and see if that helps ... Nope.
I'll hit "Publish" and hope.
It worked!

OK - if I open it to edit on the Surface, it opens, and images are visible.
The preview shows the images as well.
Press Publish, and the images go through as well.
So it's all working - but can you disable the spell checker for the moment as I'm pretty sure it caused this, somehow ...

Now this is getting weird.
I have the desktop and Surface side-by-side and viewing the same article: Adventures in 3D Printing Part 3: Making complex apertures - recovering from the Bends.[^]
On the Surface, it looks fine. All the changes - including some typo fixing I did on the Surface a few minutes ago - are there.
On the desktop ... the first image is there, but all the others are missing. The text - including typo fixes - is all there, but there aren't even placeholders for most of the images.
I can edit it on the Surface, but on the desktop I get "your ad blocker..."
Both are running Win10: 1903 (OS Build 18362.476) on the desktop, 1809 (OS Build 17736.864) on the Surface; Chrome Version 78.0.3904.108 (Official Build) (64-bit) on both.
Not sure why the surface is running older Windows, but ... I can't see it being that.
I confused. Anything you want me to try, let me know ...

Ok, I was able to recreate this issue.
I have uBlock on my Chrome with codeproject.com allowed and got the same error you did.
It seems that you also need to allow cdn2.developermedia.com. For some reason, when uBlock prevents the loading of a.min.js, our ad serving script, I breaks some other JavaScript. I'm not sure how this happens, but will investigate.
So you appear to have two options, disable uBlock while editing articles, or added an excpetion for developermedia.com.
I'm assuming that the Surface does not have an enabled adBlocker.

Interesting ... both running uBlock with CP whitelisted.
No white- or black-list for developermedia.com on either ...
Added developermedia.com to whitelist, and the images are still missing.
Added cdn.developermedia.com to whitelist and they appear, but I still get the adblocker message when I edit it.
Investigating ... Oh fer Elephant's sake! Kasp-bloody-ersky has added a sodding ad blocker as well!
Disable that, and it all looks fine.
Sorry about that - Kaspersky obviously updated itself today and added a pile of crap, it just hasn['t got round to the Surface yet ...

i'm sure they mean well, but damn they can break things in the process.
Changing how you system works, in this case your browser, should require an explicit opt-in. If we hadn't investigated, you probably would have thought that Chrome or the OS were at fault.

Difficult to backup an article-in-progress, so I just save often.

Nothing from CP since 16:43 yesterday - it's curentlly 13:21 - and I've had a reply to a forum message from Codewitch 2 1/2 hours ago that should have generated one.
My settings are unchanged, and all say "messages on":

I'm not the only one either: The Lounge[^]

[edit2]
I musta startled the Hamsters into movement: I'm getting them now for "new itmes", but not the older stuff I would have expected.
