The user in question: Member 13992037 - Professional Profile[^]
The name isn't blank, but it's auto-generated. Possibly the same bug that's been plaguing the QA comments for the last few months.

I'll make a fix so that we at least show the auto-generated member name
Any suggestions on something better than "Member <id>"? It's a bit pedestrian...

Just so you know Chris, the Message Moderation queue still isn't showing usernames.

Just an update: the issue is fixed our end but we're in the middle of a massive refactor so can't (well, don't wish to) do a deploy this week until we can release the new code.
Soon!

The discussions panel on the right side of the home page, div
ctl00_MC_TimelineMessages_TimelineContainer displays messages from a random passed day (seems to be from within the past month)?
Is this by design?
Don't know if it matters, I view code project with the Firefox browser.

Bugs and Suggestions[^] was moved to the SoapBox. It seems pre-existing links to it aren't updated to match.
Some would be a pain to handle: links (like in the above) which reference the old location now go to Lounge but no message. More importantly, any posts and such in one's reputation list now have broken links as well.
Is it possible for references in well-behaved locations, such as reputation links (a way to go back to see what you said, for example) could be updated. It looks like there's a numeric reference that could be changed with the move.
Obviously a low priority - not that many threads are moved - but good housekeeping and all that.

I am trying to reset my password using "Forgot your password?" But, password provided by code project. Delivery time says 7:36 am. But I have received the mail arround 1 PM, JST.
PS: I am writing this from my phone. And trying to log from my PC, FYI. I also requested for password from my Phone. Thanks
PPS: just a FYI, password request and logging attempt is done from different network
I do not fear of failure. I fear of giving up out of frustration.

The link does not go specifically to a discussion so which thread are you referring to?

OK thanks. I did check the soapbox before asking and nothing had appeared there since your post. I guess it was deleted.

I was after a Linux OS forum that didn't really cater to programming questions.

Last night I finished off and pushed out this article.
When I checked the preview immediately before publish, all images were there and everything looked fine.
After publish, in the released version, the 3 images relating to the CPU loadings were missing, when I went back into edit article and check this morning, the file list on the right showed that images were listed, but red warning that images not found. Re-uploaded again, adjusted the article with the new ones.
So somewhere down the publish path, the 3 images had vaporised from your servers.

This is an issue we've been chasing for weeks. We have a decentralised, rather than a centralised, static image store and when uploading images they need to be replicated to all stores. The issue is that since upgrading our server OS the replication has been failing and we're not 100% sure. The specific errors are either permissions or "file in use" (which can be the same thing, really) but neither make any sense given the way we copy.
I have a couple more ideas we can try, but in the meantime we have a backup sweeper that resyncs files every 15 mins.
If we can't nut it out then we just move to centralised and be done with it. Annoying (from a systems point of view) but simpler from a coding point of view.
cheers

I was wondering if it had anything to do with the file types? All the images are jpg, and all were added at different times, BUT;
- the 3 CPU ones were grabbed with screenshot, cropped and saved using MSPaint
- the other images of the consoles, were caught and saved using snipping tool.
Are you doing any file validity tests in the chain and the cpu ones were binned?
Edit: ignore that, i re-used the same images as originally uploaded, so if it was that, it would repeat.....clearly not. excuse my brain fart.

The Lounge[^] And from what I see, that's pretty much why she's here: to post click-bait.
If it's going to be like this, and the account not disabled as spammer, it should go through Chris so CP gets a piece of the action.

No, it is quite valid. Jovita is the competition co-ordinator for CodeProject. Take a look at the competition if you are a Docker expert.

OK - I just perceived a poster who only seemed to post competitions with likely registrations. The kind of data a commercial/spammer would love to have.
I'll just wait for something to roll around that I know/care how to do.
