In this case the member who posted the comment hasn't actually set a display name.
We used to show "User 13823606" but I don't see that doing so really adds any value.

If you use the same name (i.e. Member xxxxx) as in the original post (which used to be the case), then it is clear who is posting the comments. It also makes it easy to click the link to the user's homepage if we want to find previous or related messages.

Here is a case in point: The question has the Member id as we would see in the general forums. One reply by the OP has the User id and another has nothing. So it is not obvious (apart perhaps from context) who posted the replies.

It appears as if reputation history was interrupted for a few hours yesterday around this time. It's working again now, but there's a gap.
It's mostly a vanity/fun stat, but report-worthy nonetheless

I can't download this project: "Basic .net API structure with EF Core, Jwt, Oracle Db, AutoMapper,NLog, Swagger, MsUnit and Repository Pattern". I got this /KB/tips/1246856/BasicStructureWebAPI_Initial.zip appears to be missing on our servers. D'oh.

It seems to be missing. I have emailed the author.

Would it be possible to remember my choice for the cookie banner in the user settings, when logged in?
I prefer having my browser clear cookies when I close it. It makes perfect sense to me that I have to log in again next time I use the site, but since all my other preferences are remembered, I would expect this to be remembered too.

The moderation queue count isn't resetting between types: 1 article plus 2 tips is shown as "1 article and 3 tips":

So many forums are starting to look like this:
Is there really any need to still have deleted threads from last August still hanging around?
If there are no replies, or all replies have been removed, I think these threads should be completely deleted, or at least hidden, after a couple of weeks.
It's particularly problematic in the less popular forums, where these threads drown out the real content, and you end up with a whole page of "Message Closed" messages. Especially for new users, who don't realise that these were spam messages, and might assume that we're an unfriendly lot who just delete every message ever posted!

Richard - contact me via the "Email" link in this message and I'll tell you how to add images to this forum (it doesn't work everywhere, for obvious reasons).

Eh? I've already added an image to the message. Is it not showing for you?

Becasue I can't see any way to do it - and we have a GitHub app subm,itted as a question today, which would probably make a reasonable Project: How do I download Google spreadsheet using Python?[^]
(I deleted it after suggesting posting as a Tip to prevent "not a question" downvotes)

Chris, I've still no idea how to submit a project type, and I don't see anywhere on the site to do that. I'm sure I'm missing something, but there is one item in the moderation queue which is probably suited for that (it's just describing V2 of a github release): The Atlas Copco Open Protocol Interpreter v2.0.0[^]
How do I suggest he converts it to a Project?

It's all sorted.
I had to rework a bunch of stuff to do with tags (long story) before we could launch. As of this evening I think I'm done so we'll try launching again this week.
Nothing like anticipation, right?

For example: Latest Messages[^]
The CSS rule .messages .content-list .content-list-item .title a has a higher precedence than the previous a:visited rule, so the visited links don't change colour.
a:visited {
color:#800080;
}
.messages .content-list .content-list-item .title a {
color:#005782;
}
.messages .content-list .content-list-item .title a:hover {
color:#069;
}
That makes it extremely difficult to see which messages you've already reported when you're slogging through a list of 80 spam messages.

@chris-maunder: This is marked as "fixed", but it doesn't seem to be. Has the fix not been deployed yet?
.content-list-item .title a:visited {
color:#800080;
}
.messages .content-list .content-list-item .title a {

}

That's OK. It's not often there's a list of 80 spam messages to report.
Is there any news on the "new message indicator" bug fix yet?
