Well hopefully in your discussions you guys haven't completely abandoned the idea. Taking related items but unrelated distribution methods (everybody selling software, but using their own sites) and harmonizing them worked out very well for companies like Ebay, Craigslist, Amazon, Google, Apple, etc. Not saying that software components have that sort of purchasing base, but it raises an eyebrow.

When i give comments on questions or anyone's answer,i often feel if there are some editing options on there,it would be great! Consider, i like someone's comment very much,then if there are some options like emotions pic,font editing tools etc just like those features which we get in New Message Section then it would be great.It also saves some time,makes the system more fluent.Isn't it?

I was unable to recover my password due to a "You need to enable cookies for this page to work" message after filling in email and captcha. Cookies are enabled. I tried multiple browsers.
Edit: It apparently did send the emails anyway.

That message appears if, for some reason, it can't detect cookies, but (as you saw) the email will still be sent.

When attempting to join as a community member I encountered a missing logon email address message even though I provided one. I attempted multiple email addresses and multiple browsers. I was only able to join via professional.

Sorry,
What I mean is when I attempted to join via the community member option the website was presenting an error "Missing logon email" as if it wasn't in the field. I retested an it seems to be working now, so long as you don't fill in the optional password.

Firstly, thanks for the opportunity to have done the coder interview that was published yesterday, it certainly hadn't crossed my mind, and didn't expect to be asked for various reasons!
Anyway back to the bug, I have noticed that since the article was published, I do get the email notifications that someone has posted a message to the article, but never see any notifications appearing on the red header counter on the website next to the username.

The names of the posters are all displayed in bold font in the comments section at the bottom of articles. This is not consistent with the forums, where only the name of the poster opening a thread is bold, but the name of the answerers is displayed in normal font.

I'm sorry but I can't replicate the issue. Tried on FF16 and FF20. Maybe 17 was dodgy. I did see viz issues with (I think) 19, but they seem to have gone now.

After a bit of testing, it seems to be related to FF17. It works for the next FF versions, and for latest chrome, so I guess my local problem can be ignored.

On the article submission page, there is a link to an article submission template, which is a ZIP file that contains an HTML file that can be used to edit an article in a file hosted locally on a computer. Some things I noticed:
- It contains an invalid URL to the CSS. I looked at the source of one of my articles to find a working link to a CSS file.
- Given a working link to a CSS file, the article styles don't look right. I had to add a div with a class ("container-article") on it to make the H2 look orange.
- The HTML editor I am using (WebStorm) says that some of the CSS attributes in the inline CSS in the HEAD are invalid, because they are uppercase. For example, it didn't like "BACKGROUND-COLOR", but it was OK with "background-color".

Hi
I've tried repeatedly to recover my password. Each time it comes up with an error about cookies not being allowed.
I tested on multiple machines. Other websites on these machines had no issue setting cookies.
(And I've created this account because I couldn't use my original account... apparently my browsers can be used to create NEW accounts!)

Even though the temporary password page indicates there is an error, it should still send you the email (our apologies we are working to fix this). Did you receive it OK? Is it in your spam folder? And are you using the temporary password within the hour?
