Now that I have clicked confirm email, will I now start getting emails for replies?
I have these checked but do not receive emails when there is a reply to my message.
Default Post options Send me an e-mail if someone replies to the message
Allow private email replies to the message
e.g. http://www.codeproject.com/Lounge.aspx?msg=5084053#xx5084053xx[^]

No message received. Checked Junk, not there. Checked that new fantrabulous addition MS has added, the Clutter folder. Not there.

You were given a quite sensible response by Dave K, to talk to Microsoft about your problem of getting your hardware to work with their software. But rather than consider the merits of that sensible suggestion, you just abused him in no uncertain terms. That sort of behaviour generally gets you kicked off this site fairly quickly. You could ask the administrators to allow you back, but repeatedly creating sock puppet accounts to add more abuse does not help your case.

His account may have been reinstated, but I'm not sure if he is convinced that all is well.
I may also have played a role in him getting banned (I'm taking his word for it here), but it's not that one vote alone would cause him to get kicked, or is it? Neither do I want, desire nor deserve this kind of power.
Be that as it may, it was just my curiosity being aroused by him signing his messages with Bruno.

P.S.: As of late I've been seeing accounts being kicked with only one account being listed as responsible for that kicking. A fact I find highly disturbing, as previously there were more votes than that necessary to kick somebody and these were also listed in the disabled account.

As a personal opinion, there should be different weight on the kicks from different users as well as a different number of kick necessary depending on whether the account is fresh or not.
But it should never be possible to kill an account with one report.
I have myself done that mistake once.
Using a tablet with my big hands lacks a certain amount of precision.

You can do this yourself. Just go to your settings page and check the "Delete account" box. Then save.

Really? Well, if you want subscribe only selected things you could do that by using your Settings page[^]. Go to "Newsletters & Emails" tab, tick only your favorite topics, click "Save my settings". That's it.
