For heaven's sake rename it. How about Brilliantly Archived Code Of Noobs?

I've used it. It's a pig of a system. Totally hogs resources.

I was under impression that Perforce was pretty popular. Is anybody here using it?

YEah I have been using Perforce for years. Think it is by far one of the best SCM system out there. Easy to maintain/upgrade and use. I even had RPG programmers using it. They got used to it in a couple of days. And if you have dealt with an RPG programmer than you know they are stuck in their ways and don't take new ways of doing things very well. For them to pick it up in 2 to 3 days means it is really easy to use and understand.

Yes, I do too. For some reason, I don't like it, compared to SVN, but I'll be damned if I have any idea why. I just don't, and can't find a reason for it

I also used it in the last company I worked at. I really feel it is missing from the list. I have nothing to complain about it; it seemed like a good source control at the time.

Used it for years. It's a very good tool.

Yes, both at my current employer and previous. Perforce is a great product; used it for years. I wouldn't work at a company using VSS. Perforce was a positive factor when choosing my current employer.

There is a spelling error on the option "A manual system", I think it's actually spelled "None"

Or "Paper and a marker pen"

Now I am actually curious about all those "A manual system" responses. Is it just a substitute for "None" or do they actually have a way of rolling back the source code, seeing what changes were made, etc.?

Way back before I used versioning I use to just zip the project directory with the date in the filename every time I wanted to "commit".

I work on different projects, customers, countries and development cultures.
This means that I can't be too picky about a lot of stuff.
If I join a team to help accomplish a certain goal I just expect the code to be source controlled, I'm not expecting a specific tool for that.
As long as it works, it's good for me (at least has been 'till now).
Cheers!

I use Mercurial for my projects, using BitBucket as the hosting provider (I love that site).

Almost the same here. I use hg & bitbucket for 'personal' projects. The pricing model is perfectly suitable for small team.
