I didn't use Attachment instead as my programs only send byte or strings as email attachments. Attachment by default only allows for stream and string so I would have to encapsulate the byte and provide the encoding each time. More reliable to keep it as a separate object. Yes, I could have used an extension method to add byte functionality to Attachment, but since this dates back a fair ways, extension methods did not exist. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
