By default Windows XP, Windows Vista and also Windows 7 reserve 20% of your Internet speed for use by services like windows update and other programs that require frequent internet access. This limit is configurable from Group policy Object Editor. When we set this value to 0, the reserved 20% will be added to your browsing and download speed.
