I have found this:
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/miscctrl/UniversalRemoteControlPDA.aspx
on here.

But being a beginner in programming, I'm finding it difficult to adapt it to my need.

I have the hex code (samsung tv):

Collapse
0000 006d 0022 0003 00a9 00a8 0015 003f 0015 003f 0015 003f 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003f 0015 003f 0015 003f 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003f 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 003f 0015 003f 0015 003f 0015 003f 0015 003f 0015 003f 0015 0702 00a9 00a8 0015 0015 0015 0e6e

The above turns on the TV.

How can I send this through my PDA IR port?

PS: I did try to post this in the original thread but I have not received any responses to the question.

You have sen an apple app and want to do the same?

Good luck.

You need the pulse codes for each make of tv, and they do not give them out, they sell them, so get some money together first.

What DD says is only partly true. If you start here[^], you can see the data format and codes that are common to most/all manufacturers. I'm sure there are other websites that list more RC-5 codes. In fact, Google returns over 8 million hits for "RC-5 codes".
