It means GIVE ME CODE!

It's nothing more than a tag created and used here for specifing questions where OP is asking bluntly for a code.

It is added to questions such as:

  • I am developing a project to do XXX, but I don't know how to start, please send me the solution.
  • Please send me C++ source for college registration program.

etc.

And indicates that the questioner is too lazy to do their own work.

"GimmeCode" is the first (and I assume often the last) problem solving approach used by lazy bums, when they realise, that their professional or college "career" is soon facing a quick and ugly end, if they don't hand in a solution to their assignment in time.

Quite often, "plz" (or even worse: "plzzzzzzzzz"), "it's urgnt" (in this case the "urgent"-tag would be appropriate) and other pathetic pleas for help to save their butts are involved.

Some add something along the line "I will be grateful for ever" to their "question", which means of course nothing at all since you can't rely on their gratitude, when you, let's say, need a kidney donor.

Most of these inquirers won't show up again, after their mistakes have been pointed out, but some of them are quite persistent and come back to demand "codez" over and over again, until they are finally fed up.

Conclusion: Just ignore questions like that.

:)
