How to format name of setup file

Hello guys, I have mad a little Programm(in Windows Forms) for my Notebook and than offcourse Setup file with Installshield. Everything is ok, but the Name of the Setup file ends with ".exe". How can I remove this ? I want just to have for example "Programm1" instead of "Programm1.exe"

What I have tried:

I was trying to find an Option in Installshield but unfortunately I haven't find enything.

Solution 1

This is not possible.

".exe" is a file extension - it tells Windows what type of file it is (in this case, 'executable', but there's also ".txt" for Text files, ".png" for PNG images, ...). Without extension, Windows has no idea what to do with the file.

Yes I know that, but I want to have just a Name of App, without extension

As I said, that's not possible. Windows *needs* the extension.
