why "plot data as line" option is disabled in my chart properties?

Hi
I'm using reports through RDLC in my application
I'm trying to plot a graph of type "Bar chart".
While setting properties in Data Section, when I'm trying to edit the "value1" properties,
I'm trying to set the appearance of the value as "Plot data as Line",
amazingly, the option is getting disabled for "Bar type chart",
for "Column type charts" it is available to check.

Can somebody pull me out of this issue?

I think this may be normal behavior. I would rethink what you are trying to do, visually. Some graphing libraries, API's, etc, don't let you view a bar chart as a plotted line. I have done it before, so some tools do let you do it, but it sound like here you can't.

Well, that is correct. this seems chart limitations.
thanks, and can u suggest me alternative like any 3rd party tools or other solutions.
