Solution 1

I've never used a prefabbed system for this, I have only written my own. I would recommend it if you have the time. There might be more time to get it working initially, but then the ability to customize would be endless.

Solution 3

You can use Sql Serrver Reporting Services to create reports, which you can then run on Sharepoint, your own ASP.net pages or even Forms client.
