sql server in a pen drive

Hi all,

I need to create windows based application with using server sql 2008.I wish to keed the entire exe and server in the pendrive.I need to get the provision to use the application only if the pendrive is connected with the system.

Is it possible to do so.?How?Is that create any problem?

Please help me.

Solution 1

SQL server requires a lot of configuration to be saved to the target system and cannot be run from a pen drive.

For your senario try using Sqlce, sqlite or even mysql which can be run in an embedded way.
