Hello there

Is there any API that gives me facility to upload, view, print, edit and download documents (web Application). my client wants me to use IPAPER SCRIBD for the purpose but there is a problem with ipaper. The documents that i upload using their API is actually uploaded to the server of scribd not to my server, though i can manage documents as if everything is hosted on my server. i want documents to be hosted on my server....

Please help

It is not possible that the documents should be hosted on your server and some third part API should manage it..

Is your project manager ready to provide a third party tool, the permission to access your server/database ?? Think on this point.

If you use scribd/google docs API, the documents will be stored on their own server.

Edit:

Windows Sharepoint Services (WSS) is a pretty good DMS. It's free from Microsoft, and you can write .NET code to enhance it if you want. It doesn't have all the Office Sharepoint stuff, but it's pretty good.

You can use WSS. I have updated my answer.
