Hello all,

I'm trying to install the Windows Driver Kit[^] without luck, I've downloaded it, tried to use Daemon tools to mount the ISO and even tried to burn it into a CDROM, but in both cases I'm getting this error:

KitSetup Runtime Initialization Error! (Code: 0x000c)

KitSetup is unable to validate that this software kit was produced by Microsoft Corp. due to digital signature verification error(s).

...

Looking for it in the Internet (google et al...) I've seen that some people is recommending to install the "File Transfer Manager", but I've seen that it is a tool from '98!

Any idea on how to install it?

PS: Windows 7 here and I've used run as administrator to install it.

Thank you in advance!

Well, the solution is not a great solution:

It seems that a lot of people in the Internet is having the same error and the solution they are receiving is to use a tool from 1998 to get the download correctly processed.

I've re-downloaded the ISO file and tried it again to burn the image. Still no luck, but if I set the parameters of the DAEMON TOOLS software and check RMPS, SAFEDISC, SECUROM, AND LASERLOCK it starts working sometimes.

Strange, but working...
