User Authentication Page.

Hello All,

I have a requirement to design a page for user authentication which will initially authenticate the users with AD but in case of unavailability of AD server, page need to authenticate user from local (User PC windows). user name and password.
As in windows we can login into by entering the AD username and password whether it is connected with AD or not, same I need to do with my ASP.NET login page. Any help or article regarding this will be highly appreciated. Please feel free to write on this in case of further inquiry.
