Encrypting Folders for Flash Drives

Hi I have some files on my flash drive that I don't want to fall into the wrong hands, so I was wondering does anyone know were I can find a tutorial on encrypting my flash drive (or folders )in vb.net because I want to write my own app but I want to know how somebody else did it first.

Another note- someone told me to put all my files into a .zip file and compress that and then encrypt that, only thing is it's not so easy, how do I do this?

re your second point: ZIP's encryption is very weak. It would only protect you from the lazy or unskilled. However, in general it is a good idea to compress files before encrypting them.
