I don't think that's the solution. My code works fine in .NET 1.1 I don't have visual studio etc.
ASP - AJAX is SEXY. PERIOD.

Hi.
I have a WebUserControl. It has a Text property ( I've written it )
I need an event in this class (my userControl) that fires by changing the Text Property.
I wrote an Event like this in my usercontrol event:
Public Event Text_Changed(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs)
and in another class I've written this:
AddHandler Text_Changed, AddressOf MyMethod
Public Sub MyMethod(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs)
End Sub
But I don't know how automatically runs the MyMethod by changing the Text Property of userControl
Best wishes

I think the problem with you is the postback thing.
Let me remind you, you need to do a postback to generate the serverside event. I think you can make a handler to generate the event.
If you want to avoid postback, you can call a custom handler using Javascript and AJAX. Use it to generate server side event.

I would like to make a calendar control, showing the date (in the locale I set it to) e.g. mm/dd/yyyy. Then when the user wants to update the date the calendar control shows up.
Any ideas?

Hi,
This is the report format I need in Crystal reports. I tried with Crosstabs, but it comes wierd. Also I do not know how to get the amounts listed in columns month wise, it depends on a date field in the DB table named purchase_due_date. The client requirement is that I need to display the result an year's data when he selects a date. So client would input a date. It is also better if I can let the user provide conversion values for various currencies.
Could anyone help me out with this?
| Invoice Amount in Local Currency | Customer | PO Number | PO Value | Apr 08 | May 08 | Jun 08 | Jul 08 | Aug 08 | Sep 08 | Oct 08 | Nov 08 | Dec 08 | Year 2009 Onwards | Row Total(In Local Currency) | Green Constructions | PO567 | $400 | 100 | | | | | 100 | | | | 100 | 300 | John's Pizza | PO987 | Euro 1000 | | 200 | | | | | 500 | | | | 700 | Column Tot in Local Currency | 100 | 200 | | | | 100 | 500 | | | 100 | 1000 | Cumulative Tot in Local Currency | 100 | 300 | | | | 400 | 900 | | | 1000 | |

If you're gong to do your own calendar with drop downs, why on earth do you also use a calendar control ?

Hi
I need to create a page layout with three web parts embedded in it.
I'm using SharePoint Designer for this.
I'm facing problem while adding a web part which accesses HttpContext.Current.Session.
The error i'm getting is "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". It seems the Session object is not getting initialised properly.
This problem occurs only in the case of Page Layout. The web part works fine when added to a page. Can anyone provide a workaround or solution for this problem?

What is the best way to implement "conditional formatting" for columns in a datagrid?
I have a Datagrid Control which uses different styles (CSS classes) for header, items, items in editable state, alternating items, and footer. One of the columns in the datagrid is called "Status" and contains an integer value (0, 1, 2). Depending on the value of the Status, I would like to use a different background color in the datagrid.
Can anyone advise on how to do this? Thank you for your assistance.
Dox Girl, where are you?
|
|
|
|

I'd imagine you need to have styles for each color and set the css class based on the value.

Indeed. You can see it this way: rows with status=0 should be displayed in green; rows with Status=1 should be displayed in yellow, and rows with Status=2 should be shown in red.
Dox Girl, where are you?

Yes, you need to write a bit of code in, probably, the OnItemDataBound event of the grid to assign the appropriate style based on the value.

i want to send a report via FAX.. can any1 show me the way ?

This has nothing to do with ASP.NET. there is no fax component built in, you need to buy one.

It says you have absolutely no idea about how ASP.NET works. ASP.NET can't record voice. Take a book and read to learn what it can do.
