Hi,

I have a requirement where I want to create templates for emails.
So, I want to know how can I export mail contents to word document.
Can any one help me.

To use Outlook and Word you need to use the MS Office Interop capabilities. These give direct access to the functionality of Office apps from your .Net application. Here[^] and here[^] are some MSDN articles that show you how to use them.

Hi,

We are selling Handheld Terminals in the company where I work.
The Handheld terminals are using Microsoft ActiveSync to communicate using USB.

But we have some problems, that first time we connect the Handheld Terminal (Which is a Datalogic barcode reader with Windows CE 5.0), Windows XP can not find the driver wceusbsh.sys, and therefor we need to "force" it to use the driver from the ActiveSync directory\drivers.

When we have forced it to use the driver from the directory we can connect the handheld terminal in the same USB port without any problems.

Is it possible to develop some kind of program that can tell the Operating System (XP,Win2k etc)
that it has to use that driver, because we have a lot of costumers asking about what we can do about it. And Datalogic can not do anything (They say).

Hope someone has an idea to solve this problem

Well i'm a newbie to visual studio 05 attempting to generate a report in Visual C#.Net that would be accessible in SQL Server 05.

But i've got no clues on how to make progress in the same regrd .
Thatz why i'm looking for some ready reference!

Hello All,
I have a chunk of code which needs to be re written in to C#.
The challenge is I want to port this code blindly.

Is there any utility/ tool which can automate the process of doing this or I have to port this code the hard and real way, I mean understanding the progress code and then rewriting it to C#.

Please suggest.

It really depends on the language your chunk of code is written: for instance, if it is (already) C# then the Identity transformation will do the job in automatic and safe way!

I did not understand your comments, request you to elobrate.

To give you more information.
1. I have a code written in Progress 4GL it is live and is a business application.
2. I have to write this code again in C# means porting the complete application in to .Net.
3. I wish to achieve this without unerstanding the code and it's logic.

What I interpret from your reply is ,

Identity transformation can do this job of writing a progress.w file into cshart.cpp file?

My answer was just a joke.
IMHO you have to understand code logic and craft the C# implementation (at least, you'll gain knowledge of the business logic...), anyway check if the Progress Software Corporation has the right instrument to perform automatically the job (good luck).

this.listBox1.Items.Add(new ListItem("key","value"));

You must insert data to every index. You cant do this:

Hi all,

I am developing a windows application using C#.. In that I want to extract Email Ids from Outllook, Outlook Express and Windows Address Book...

In Outllook..........

I can extract Email ids using the following code...

Q1) Using the above code I can display all the email ids from the outlook.
But if there are more than one profiles are created in the outlook.. (Say..... profile1 ,profile 2)...

Now this code will extract only from the default profile..
I want to give an option to the user to select the profile which he want to email ids...

I tried like
ns.Logon("Profile1",_missing, false, true);

But it is not working properly.. I think it is taking the profile name from somewhere else it is stored ( A session or something (I am not sure))...
How can I do that?????

I think I can import Wab32.dll ...
From where i will get some reference for that (I got many C++ eg: but not a single one from C#)..

but i dont want to save a text file its up to user to save it manually so some thing like temp file which can only be viewed but when closed should not be saved to any path.

Our HTTP server using "SESSION BASE" authendication， So the "request.GetReponse" will return the HTML code of the HTTP server's login page, NOT the uri I want to retrive.

If I change HTTP server to "BASIC" auth, the code run good.

When you request the login page with the correct login, it will create the session variables on the server and return a cookie to identify the client. You have to pick up the cookies that the server sends and return them to the server in every request.
