I'm very glad to know that you know Urdu(or once did)
How come that you came across Urdu, a language spoken in only one country in this whole wide world?

Movie Quote Of The Day
continuing on the word play of the last few posts a bit, this might be an appropriate MQOTD...
I couldn't believe it was her. It was like a dream. But there she was, just as I remembered her. That delicately beautiful face. And a body that could melt a cheese sandwich from across the room. And breasts that seemed to say... "Hey! Look at these!" She was the kind of woman who made you want to drop to your knees and thank God you were a man!
Which movie?

It's a Leslie (Nielsen)...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

I will reply with another quote - since the movie has so many funny ones that anything I could think of won't even be nearly as funny.
Go ahead, threaten me like you have the American people for so long! You're part of a dying breed, Hapsburg, like people who can name all fifty states! The truth hurts, doesn't it, Hapsburg? Oh sure, maybe not as much as landing on a bicycle with the seat missing, but it hurts!

... to contact google.
I need some information about being able to send notification emails using scripting in Google Forms/Spreadsheets : there is obviously a limitation to the number of emails to be sent a day, which is by the way for once a bit tricky (you can send a huge amount of emails, BUT to only 100 different recipients a day, which, unless you send all your mails to the same poor person, is quite limiting), AND is hidden somewhere in the deeps of the partially outdated google online documentation, so that you only get aware of the limitation once your application is up and running and the 101th user does not get his notification...* - long story short, I wanted to know how this limit can be set higher.
No way. I navigated about 10 mins in the different help pages, but you won't find a support email or phone number. Since this probably involves an professional account to be created, which would not be mine (I am doing something for someone else here) I have limited my search in the French pages, but there was no way to get to the information.
I finally dropped a line in a google forum, but this is a true WTE moment. I even came across a blog post about someone who went exactly the same path, and gave up trying to contact support.
*Yeah I know, how naive from me to believe there is a place on the interweb at which you can send unlimited emails for free. Talk about spammer heaven...

Just send the mails directly to the mailserver of the recipient.
Mailservers are pretty open to anything. Some might maybe flag you as spam, but it usually works pretty well.
You can basically telnet to a mailserver and send a mail by using the console if you want...

I am hanging at the "Just". Imagine I have a list of emails like myemail@mycompany.com, how do I find the mailserver of the recipient ?

just query the dns for a mailserver record
Example for windows
You have the address
example@google.com
you can then search for a mailserver with a dns query
nslookup -type=MX google.com
this returns a list of all mailservers where you can send emails ending in @google.com
google.com MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = aspmx.l.google.com
google.com MX preference = 20, mail exchanger = alt1.aspmx.l.google.com
google.com MX preference = 30, mail exchanger = alt2.aspmx.l.google.com
google.com MX preference = 50, mail exchanger = alt4.aspmx.l.google.com
google.com MX preference = 40, mail exchanger = alt3.aspmx.l.google.com
aspmx.l.google.com internet address = 64.233.184.27
alt1.aspmx.l.google.com internet address = 64.233.162.27
alt2.aspmx.l.google.com internet address = 74.125.200.27
alt4.aspmx.l.google.com internet address = 173.194.72.27
alt3.aspmx.l.google.com internet address = 74.125.23.27
lowest preference = highest priority when using the mailserver.
You can then connect by using the standard smtp ports (25 for unencrypted connection) and send the smtp data to the server. That's basically what any mailserver does anyway when sending a mail to an address outside of it's scope.
