A police officer sees a man driving around with a pickup truck full of penguins. He pulls the guy over and says, "You can't drive around with penguins in this town! Take them to the zoo immediately."
The guy says okay, and drives away. The next day, the officer sees the guy still driving around with the truck full of penguins - and they're all wearing sunglasses. He pulls the guy over and demands, "I thought I told you to take these penguins to the zoo yesterday?"
The guy replies, "I did. Today I'm taking them to the beach!"

Good one.
Along with Antimatter and Dark Matter they've discovered the existence of Doesn't Matter which appears to have no effect on the universe whatsoever!

Gads, that old thing is still around? It was a whole bunch longer and a bit funnier when I told it about 35 years ago.
Still, it's interesting to see how these things evolve (devolve?) over the decades.
Will Rogers never met me.

I just paused to think what my life was 35 years ago and came up with these memories:
- Finishing up a degree in Physics and had no idea what I was going to do with it.
- Sad that the band I was in was about to break up.
- Was hacking analog hardware.
- Hadn't yet discovered software.
- Had hair to my shoulders.
- Sad to see many close friends leave India for grad school in the US and UK. (I didn't make the move until the next year).
- Social networking meant shaking hands and talking to people face to face.
- My trusty black-body motor-driven Nikon FM rarely left my side.
- I enjoyed smoking cigarettes.
- It rarely rained.
- I assumed I was invincible and would always be healthy.

I am working on getting a bit of Test Software working, which is written in a language I don't like using features that are dangerous (to say the least!). I have battled with the dodgy layout of the ini file which I'm not allowed to change, altered the layout of the fixture trying to be inline with mods done by the customer ('I just want a circuit diagram of how it stands now', 'right you are, here some poor photos from a phone'). I just have to fix another two issue and it possibly work! If you are going to change the layout of some hardware, please for the sake of the poor so and so who has to replicate it, keep some change log/diagram of what has happened to it.

Gawd yes! Learned that one a long, long time ago - when I didn't and the hardware designer (rightly) tore me a new one because he had to minutely examine the patchwork quilt I had made of his PCB to work out WTF I had done...always, but always kept a day book and a pencilled over copy of the circuit diagram marked "MASTER" up to date since then!

This project is made all the harder as we didn't design all of it (I am pretty sure that) the original designers are now laughing at us from there evil villain lair. Why couldn't the boss man let me totally re-write it in a language I know better rather than performing 'Op Turd Shine'. It's taking longer...

Ah! You need a can of this: Kiwi special[^] - I think Lidl stocks it, or you could order it from RS / Farnel.

I see you follow the line "Vote early, vote often."
Do they still let you vote after you die? (For those who may not know dead people vote all the time in at least Chicago and Cleveland).
