What do you mean by "bitcoin is criminalized" and how would that reduce something that is already a criminal act?

Money payment (non-bitcoin) has to go through banks. with all the transaction records available, it is hard to believe that attackers do not get caught.

Have not. But I do have a number of emails asking me to claim huge amount of money left by my deceased great great aunt. Need to act quickly.

Well, if bitcoins weren't worth anything, the attacks would still continue, the method has shown to be profitable. Instead they would demand whatever next hard to track currency is available... like USD sent to a compromised foreign account.

I sometimes wonder how could they not get caught since all transactions go through banks including the foreign account unless that foreign country supports the attackers.

No. Bitcoin is just easier than other ways of payment. Attackers do it because they can, not because method of payment is convenient. There are pre-paid Visa, iTunes cards and several other methods that can and were used before. Mere fact that something CAN be used in malicious way doesn't mean it should be banned... Unless you want to ban all men for example

Only a bit, because the criminals want to do there business.
If the business is easy and sucessful always a lot of criminals are jumping on the train.

Hope you are right about bitcoin bubble. It at least eliminates a convenient payment for attackers.

That's gonna be two really fun minutes - until you crash it and are left with a $500 pile of plastic waste...

Why did you tell me that? I have been flying 200 - 300 hours with my old T-Rex 550E and had no crashes at all. Now that I know that these models can crash...

Dunno - probably because that's what would have happened to me!
Sorry!

It did happen to me - and almost everyone else who tried it for the first time. After about 30 seconds I had successfully flipped it on the back and 'landed' it on the rotor.
If you ever want to try, come right over and we will spend some hours on the simulator before we ever try anything out on the nfield.

Just curious: do you enjoy the skill required to fly those?
Just asking coz these days drones (the hobbyist multi-prop ones, not those that launch RPG's) they are putting out today have got all sorts of idiot proofing auto stabilisation built in.
(Still not 100% idiot proof though: they don't self-avoid power lines, moderate to fast moving terrestrial vehicles and dogs that want to play frisbie.)
Signature ready for installation. Please Reboot now.

Lopatir wrote: Just curious: do you enjoy the skill required to fly those? Yes, just as I prefer manual transmission in a car. This way the learning never ends and there are always new goals to achieve. Just pressing a button and let a microcontroller have all the fun is boring.
Lopatir wrote: orts of idiot proofing auto stabilisation built in There you have it. I prefer to spend a few bucks to repair and a months ration of adrenaline before I would ever voluntarily join that club of meek and timid souls.
Lopatir wrote: (Still not 100% idiot proof though: they don't self-avoid power lines, moderate to fast moving terrestrial vehicles and dogs that want to play frisbie.) No, they don't and that's why I think that giving unskilled people the illusion of control over a fairly dangerous object. The bigger helicopters can easily kill someone. It already has happened.

That's a beautiful machine! 500 is a great size. I have a 450 that I learned on.
I've been flying planes since the 80's, then got into helicopters about 8 years ago - because someone told me it was one of the top 3 hardest of all hobbies.
The thrill of getting it in the air in my driveway after months of work was unreal.
Now we are flying quads and hexicopters. I have an HD camera on my quad that takes some stunning photos. And a FPV camera on the hex that sends realtime video back to my VR goggles.
The best part about helis and drones is that you can fly anywhere. I can just walk into my backyard and fly for 15 minutes, then go on to something else. No need to pack up and drive to a field or club and go through all the trouble to fly a plane.
So what are you using for radios? Futaba? Graupner?
