It's variable here... the snow is very light and dry, and anywhere the wind gets it blows it away - so some places are almost bare of snow while in others there are drifts two feet deep!

Much the same here, but without the drifts.
Probably be good skiing snow if it was deeper - it's a very fine powder.

A couple of inches here in South East England, but not too much disruption. Total chaos further north, and in Hampshire for some strange reason.

My wife and I have a two-story cabin in the Adirondacks on 2 acres of land, about 2.5 miles north of Sacandaga Lake. Small world.

10 inches (20 cm) in Devon. Then it rained a bit, then froze, so now its breakable crust snow up to your shins. Nasty stuff to walk in!

... I passed the 2,000,000 rep points mark!
Good grief - I still have no idea how they accumulate so quickly, it's been less than five years since I passed 1,000,000, and I've "only" been here 9 years this April. It's a pity I "missed" by a week, that would have been a nice little present, but ho hum.
And probably around the same time the sky signal vanished - probably the dish has been moved by the high winds - so Herself is not a happy bunny. Who designs a system that needs a satellite signal in order to play material it has already recorded? That's a bit ... well ... QAish, really.
But I'd like to say "Thanks" to everyone who over the years has voted me up (and a bigger thanks to those who voted me down). I couldn't have reached this without the help of every one of you!

I assume you'll be signing up for this[^] then?

After all, if they didn't do that, you might be able to play back a recording of a free-to-air program without paying them for the privilege.
PS: Congratulations on not overflowing the rep-point counter yet.

That's a elephanting joke, that is - you try getting SkyGo to work to Chromecast or Fire TV Stick (and I have both). They deliberately prevent you watching Sky programs that way, even though you have to sign in with a valid Sky account.
Pathetic.

Approximately 1,500,000 of the points were accumulated in Q&A via: "Do your homework" in various forms. The rest were my up-votes.
I'll let you where the thank-you! ($) should be wired.

Much to my surprise, it's pretty evenly split between "Authority" and "Debator", with a good chunk of "Organiser" thrown in for seasoning.

Don't bother with truthiness. I've got that covered![^] right here!
I didn't even bring up how many sheep-friends you have registered for the up-votes. Not mentioned at all.
Let me handle things - everything will be fine.
(to the rest of you readers: move along. Nothing to see here)
