Plague doctor - Wikipedia

What I find interesting (aside from the aromatic herbs nonsense) is that some of them wore primitive hazmat suits:
Quote: Some plague doctors wore a special costume. The garments were invented by Charles de L'Orme in 1630 and were first used in Naples, but later spread to be used throughout Europe.[12] The protective suit consisted of a light, waxed fabric overcoat, a mask with glass eye openings and a beak shaped nose, typically stuffed with herbs, straw, and spices. Plague doctors would also commonly carry a cane to examine and direct patients without the need to make direct contact with them.[13]

Who cares? At least as long as you only kill bad TV cereals.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

A friend of mine has a cat, and his favorite toy used to be a piece of pasta (it was penne I think).
One day I stepped inside her kitchen, I heard a crack under my shoe, and the cat came rushing in, stopped in the door opening and had this devastating look on his face.
The pasta lay there in pieces, totally unfit for play.
We laughed at the shocked face of the cat, but I actually felt kind of bad about it.
The cat and I continued to be friends, so I guess he forgave me after his initial shock

He's done it many times before. I'm not sure if he's very stable mentally. All of our posts are there, if I did something wrong I don't mind someone pointing it out with an explanation. He's behaved this way before with other conservative people. No discussion, just unfounded accusations.

Why is there any need, at all, to make personal comments about someone else on forums dedicated to software development and the sharing of knowledge.
Stop the trolling, the "let's see how close I can push it" mentality, the "it's not my fault, it was him", and instead focus on contributing to an experience that is positive for the readers here.
cheers

You are correct, Chris. However, it frustrates the hell out of me that others on the site don't get in trouble for the same behavior, let alone, a personal reply comment from you on the matter.
Eddy started this, and he ended it. Let's not forget that.
Since you guys banned me a while back I have behaved for the most part, and I toe the line in regards to your site and forum rules, but there is very much a double standard at this site regarding certain members and who gets in trouble and who does not for the same offenses.

First and foremost this is a site for software developers and our rules have always been to be respectful to one another.
We absolutely will miss some of the fights, name calling and trolling. We may very well call out one person and miss another. But I'm not so much interested in who started it. I care about how people react.
Don't reply. Don't get personal and then point to that other person and say "he started it". I'm not going to spend my days reading through threads and deciding who's actually at fault and who's a "victim".
Everyone is responsible for their own actions.
I ask, with the deepest respect for those who choose to share their time and their skills in helping other programmers, to know when to answer and to know when to let a message be. We don't need to have the last word.
Let's please work to give everyone a positive experience.
cheers

Be prepared to have any answers you've posted downvoted in order to affect your rep points. When I called him out on his trolling back in September, the next day over ten of my not-so-good answers were downvoted within a span of a couple minutes. I didn't care, but if it is being done to others I do care. And I care that Eddy has left. Sad.
