But did people write about and read about it centuries later?
If not it must not have been noteworthy.

Quote: If not it must not have been noteworthy. Right. That could be the only explanation.
However, there was much other stuff written which is how we know. But again, for the soapbox, not here.

Given that life exists at the bottom of the ocean around deep sea vents, based on sulphur and heat, so I understand, rather than CO2 O2 and sunlight, as on the surface, there is no need to look for similar planets to earth. LIfe could exist almost anywhere, such as on Io even.

I think the challenge might be to find life that is similar to ours on planets that we could survive on without too much trouble.

Well sort of. I got a certificate.
I finally completed my radiation treatments. Now to wait a few months to see if they worked.

I may pop in from time to time over the next four days, in between golf and jobs my wife has for me to do.
I have just bought a couple of DVDs to watch too, The Flipside of Dominic Hyde and Doomwatch: Winter Angel.

Everyone's - toothbrushes and toothpaste
Mine - razor, shaving cream, after-shave
Hers - around 2 cubic ft. worth of lotions, creams and whatever. I counted 20 bottles today before giving up.
Everything except medicine

Let me see...toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, shower hat, spare soap, interdental brushes, first aid kit, and medicines from slow release aspirin granules to morphine (two sizes of capsule, and two grades of patches).
Oh, and a flea squasher for the cat's little pets.

Would if it was mine - but the strongest drug I use these days is the occasional paracetamol!

I was thinking the cat, but your explanation is more plausible.
I too suffer from a condition that has symptoms much like arthritis. Have had both knees and one hip replaced. It helps to have a few friends in the medicine cabinet. (But I haven’t taken any since December.)
