I guess you have to have sat through the right B&W movies on TV in your youth.

That is funny. But the industry value is growing rapidly, everybody wants a piece of the action. I worry what downsides us gamers will face once the government bodies get their claws in... I guess just the usual crap, "gaming tax".

Add gaming to the product name and you can sell it for twice the money.

Then make it pink and sell it for triple.

Not my opinion, but I'm pretty sure it's EA's ...

Oh, this will definite be the next step. A trainer that allows you to reload your gun by 'tapping your foot' would be very popular. Basically, just allowing mapping a 'foot tap' to a specific button/command.

I'm sure the next generation of dance programs will include tap dance

Wouldn't that require Active Gaming Underwear to be effective?

That would indeed add an interesting dimension to gaming.

Sorry Bro.
That apocalypse thing? Already passed.
Every time you see someone crossing a street with a cellphone in their hand.
Or texting whilst driving.
Or a couple in a restaurant on a date, each staring into their respective phones.
We are well into the endgame.

Eric Whitacre - Cloudburst[^]
Last week, I was driving to work and I heard some choir music on the radio.
For some reason it sounded like this was late middle ages or renaissance, but I heard something modern.
Can't quite place my finger on what makes it modern though.
Anyway, I shazamed the music and later found on YouTube that the composer was Eric Whitacre.
A name I knew from a week before when I also heard him on the radio.
So I looked him up and he's some award winning composer who writes choral music.
One of his projects is recording people from all over the world and putting it together digitally, it's his Virtual Choir.
Anyway, this piece is the song I heard on the radio so I thought it deserved SOTW for making me listen to choral music.

Actually, I keep track of everything I listen to on last.fm.
So my top listened track of the last 365 days is my SOTY

A clever young entrepreneur rebounds from failure by riding Santa's coattails, and a "little white lie."Quote: THIS YEAR, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE across Japan will celebrate Christmas around buckets of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Families will order “Party Barrels” weeks in advance, replete with this year’s offering of cole slaw, shrimp gratin, triple-berry tiramisu cake, and, of course, fried chicken. Santa-clad Colonel Sanders statues will stand at attention outside storefronts, grinning mutely through December as KFC Japan sales multiply tenfold, earning the chain a third of its annual income. The corporate promotion is one of Japan’s longest-standing Christmas traditions. [^]
