So this is how publishers unload archaic books that they have warehouses full of. Well, at least I guess it sort of helps charity.

I know very little on most of these books so I took the chance.
Besides, my first response to books at 50 cents each is "buy them all, sort them later (if ever)".

I am using English version of windows. I just wanted to google something in Japanese. So I installed the Japanese input method. All went fine. After that I found that the display language of windows changed to Japanese! And I have to set the display language setting back to English and restart the windows...

So to be fair...
1. Any modern operating system is a very complex beast.
2. Making all of the bits and pieces work together correctly is a very large task. Realistically it is simply not possible for some cases due to complexity.
3. Many users of Japanese might in fact want to use english but the reverse is probably much less likely to happen.
4. And Microsoft is out to make money.
Consequently many, many things that individuals might want to do requires that those individuals find specific ways to do it because no OS can meet the goals of every single individual.
