signed up for a demo account on xero,
validate email address, ok,
then I get the Welcome email, blah blah, and it has 2 large option buttons at the bottom
- option 1: "Connect your bank"
- option 2: "Buy xero now"
looking deeper in the message there is another link to a "getting started page" (buried in the text)
... and on the Getting Started page the very first suggested option: "Connect your Bank Account"
heloooo xero:
... IT'S A ing DEMO ACCOUNT!!
... plus yes I do see all your "helpful reminders" to buy
You really think I wanna give you my bank account as my very first action ??? IN A DEMO ACCOUNT???
in fact even if bought [not just me, any accountant] linking a bank account is way down the list after: basic testing, setting/examining the COA, customers, suppliers, producing invoices, inputting bills, checking reports ..."

I wasn't at all sure about "Book" / "Job" but good clues!

Um thanks (I thought Job would be the easiest one).
I was thinking of concocting some sort of Mini CCC requirements - any thoughts?

Depends what you mean - mini clue, or mini solution? Both?
Spell out what you expect, and set time limits if you want them.
I'd just link to a CCC tutorial site[^] for the clue format itself and concentrate on what makes it different from WSO CCC.
I stuck the rules on my homepage, so they would be easy to find (rather than in the Lounge, where they get paged out too quickly).

Er, unsure what you meant by 'homepage', I just googled 'griff'...
Learn something every day on this BBS...
But yes, what do I mean - probably just a concise clue for a 3-5 letter filler. But perhaps better left without restrictions - 'you know it when you see it' type thing.
Hey, not every ticket's a winner...

Your homepage: Tim Deveaux - Professional Profile[^] There is a forum at the bottom where you can start threads.
A lack of restrictions is good, provided you give guidelines if others are expected to set them.

Right - got it.
Didn't know about the time restriction on the WSO - no wonder they're all solved by the time I get up (Not that I would get many anyway)
Hmmm... yes, will others set them... hmmm...

You need a time limit of some form so that you get a "win / lose" condition, and a point at which you can post solutions. Doesn't have to be "4 hours", for "mini CCC" it could be "tomorrow" if you always post it on a Saturday for example.
Other people setting it can be a good idea - it stops it being "a chore" because people do get attached to regular items (I get complaints if I don't post TotD on time and that was never meant to run for weeks, let alone several years!)

Today we visited the "The Coffeecat" cafe in Almere and were lucky to find a free table.
It's like a cosy living room, and there's a variety of cats, 10 in total.
Most of the cats were sleeping, and did not seem to mind all the visiting people.
Conclusion: heartily recommended !

My wife and kid like cats -- I don't.
A cat café tried to open here, but they couldn't get permits, so it's a cat lounge instead.
