The ability to write:
double Wonderful = 2^3;
Instead, I have to write
double awful = Math.Pow(2,3);
Or...
double prettyOK = 2 * 2 * 2;
or
double worksForMe = 1 << 3;

Fine
Dim Pedantic as Double = 2^3
Dim itWorksInVBAnywaySoWhatAreYouComplainingAbout As Double = 2 ^ 3

int TheEnd = 3;
double SomeStupidResultIDontReallyCareAbout = 1;
for (int ThisIsGettignReallyPassiveAgressive = 0; ThisIsGettignReallyPassiveAgressive < TheEnd; ThisIsGettignReallyPassiveAgressive++)
{
SomeStupidResultIDontReallyCareAbout *= 2;
}
Or ...
double simple = 8;
Well I don't think that's all that great.
double Wonderful = 2^3;
looks like it should set Wonderful to 1.

I think you are on point(ers)?

That is correct, because it remainds us all on the power of C++.
The pure power of of pointer arithmetics and function pointers isnt to top.

They keep telling me that C++ code can be very fast, but it takes a very long time to code.

So, you're in some kind of hurry.
Well - it take less time to eat a raw potato right our of the garden - but it taste a whole lot better if you wash it and bake it first, then eat it . . . although it takes a bit longer.
Of course - knowing what you're doing helps, too, but that's rather judgemental.

Personally, I prefer the potatoes raw - wash, peel, eat like an apple.

Slow to code, but with the potential to fail very, very quickly.

well.. you can still do it with ints!
int x = 2;
int y = 3;
Console.WriteLine(x ^ y)
Works fine by me!
aren't you the lucky one

Are you sure?
'^' is the C# bitwise XOR operator, so you'll get 1, not 8...([PickyPickyMode]if you add the missinge semicolon so it'll compile[/PickyPickyMode])

From the Math.Pow bit, I assume not!

I only miss the InputBox, albeit as it's.net you can use it anyway referencing Microsoft.VisualBasic.Interaction.InputBox.

Well, if that's the syntax, then that's the syntax. Try writing in Finnish; the syntax of that really will drive you crazy.

You could always suggest it as a language enhancement here[^].
