I like that. I never wear a watch, but that looks nice and clean. Though I think maybe I'd want the "hands" reversed.
If I recall correctly, my mother had a grandfather who was blind -- he removed the glass from his pocket watch so he could feel the hands.

I like watches. There, I said it. So sometimes I'll go check out the manufacturers sites and see what is about. I also quite like Seiko watches - reliable and tough but not too expensive.
Not the sort of watch I like but... Grand Seiko SBGJ007 [^]
Without going to the Seiko site, how much do you think that watch is?

I know what you mean: I have a Seiko Titanium 7T32[^] which has got to be 25 years old now. I've replaced the batteries numerous times, the "o" ring once, and the locking catch on the strap once.
It's not had an easy life, but...it works perfectly, and one small scratch on the crystal.
Yes, it cost a "reasonable" amount - a few hundred pounds IIRC - but it'll still be working when the hipster's iWatch has been through FleaBay a couple of times!
And the best bit? It doesn't run out of battery every 23 hours...
The Grand Seiko price? Dunno - but I'm betting it's out of my price range! Is it more or less than a good Rolex?

I didn't know there were any bad Rolexes!
Mind you, if you want something a touch original... Bamford [^]
I have an old Seiko Kinetic (one of the early models) and it still works if I give it a good shaking.

Would you be seen dead wearing this[^]?

Ok: I get it and NO! That is repugnant! I much prefer understated.

Meh. I've been wristwatch-free for twenty years or more. As a fan of calculator watches, they kind of marked me as a nerd (which I am), so I used to keep mine in my pocket.

I would say about $5000...
(I have a friend, who owns a jewelry/watch shop and I visit it sometimes to look for presents to my wife)
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

I have a love/hate relationship with watches.
I love watch designs, but I hate wearing one.
I've always wanted to have a Tissot Touch or a Movado (the new Edge is really nice).
But my wet dream would be to have a Bell & Ross[^] watch, not the big huge "aviator" watches, but one of the "vintage" ones.
I'd rather be phishing!

Waaaaay too much information!
Good watches but they look a little odd to me: a watch should be round, not square!

A bit out of my price range at roughly $20K, I believe...

So said I.
Then I read it is a step down from the 1520 I already have.
|
|
|
|
|
In what way is it a step down?
|
|
|
|

They didn't specify and it's a pain in the butt to get complete specs on these things.
But they were talking about the cameras and screen immediately before that, so that may be it.
I don't think the 1520 will run W10, though, so there's that to consider, too.

Based on everything I read so far, these new phones have 6-core CPUs faster than those on any other existing phones. It's possible that the camera may not be as good as that on your model though. I was focusing more on the CPU, memory, performance, and the ability to convert it to a desktop via a docking pad.
