I'd rather work from the office with the nice big monitors and full-size favorite keyboard, but at least once a week, I have to work on this laptop. The minor irritation that I've been dealing with for over a year now, is that I keep getting logged out of CP even though my 'Settings' are set to 'keep me logged in'.
Check CP, work for a little bit, check CP again and I'm logged out. This only happens on this computer.
I am using IE 11 (probably get flamed for that) and cookies are enabled for all sites, no protected mode. I have gone through all the settings I can think of to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On the cooky-thing, check these settings;
- Accepting Cookies
- CodeProject.com as secure website
- make sure "Remember me so I don't have to log on again" is selected on your CP settings page

I just had to login again to respond!
Yep, been there, checked all those settings. If I remember correctly, this started happening well over a year ago when I updated to IE 11.
I have tried yelling and cursing at it (at the same time for effect) but it still misbehaves. Perhaps I need to get physical with it and bang it around a bit!

still misbehaves. That doesn't fix the machine, it merely relevies tension. And a bit of frustration and anger maybe. Depending on your emotional state, it might be unwise - a thundering roar might relieve your tensions and simultaneous give severe tensions to others.
I'm still on IE 10, so I'd assume settings would work the same. Does your laptop turn of its WiFi when not used for a bit? Does it start to look for a brief moment that it needs to re-establisch connection? Is it a https-connection that got broken and needs be re-established?

Thanks for trying to help! (and the humor) I'm back at my office workstation, (which is also IE 11) and will check some of those settings on Saturday when I'm back on the laptop. AFAIK, the WiFi doesn't disconnect. I do have fiddler on it, so I may see if it reveals any connection issues the next time I use it.

That's because you've got a better firewall on your desktop.
It won't let us boot you.

Reminds me of that joke:
Man walks in doctors office and tells the doctor: "Doctor, it hurts when I do this".
Doctor replies: "Well, don't do that".
Install Firefox - IE is now dead.

Reflect here:

But think here:
Tools/Compatability View Settings/"Display All Websites in Compatability View"(tick)
Usg IE8, I've discovered that such things here in CP, while best not complained about before that mirror, can often fix themselves ... just do more right-click dragging and more clicking on top of that.

Does anyone know anything or have any references to any resources related to Unity 3D programming?
There's nothing on the internet or anywhere about Unity 3D programming.

Is that a typo?
Did you mean "untidy programming"?
There's no end of examples on the net; just correct your search string.

This was my feeble attempt at the humors.
I am often without humors and thot I might try it this one time, since there are a ba-jillion articles on the CP front page about UNITY 3D PROGRAMMING!!! right now.

I know. I just went off at a tangent, because you'd already made the only available joke on the topic.

Yeah, been wondering myself, normally I'd assume someone had already written some article about it but apparently no. Maybe I should do that. Could be a series of articles with parts 1-8 and possibly I had to update it daily but then at least there would be something about UNITY 3D – Game Programming.

Not so funny, but +5 for the use of multitudinous!
