1200 was too high for my little legs and as I tended to do longer distances I didn't want the seat remodelled ... I like my padding!
I had (in fact still have, in mothballs) the "old style" Fazer 600 which I loved. TBH I loved the XJ600 Diversion that I had before that ... but more for the comfort over longer distances and the pillions found it comfy - which meant I got more pillions than the sports bike guys
Unfortunately carpel tunnel problems in both wrists and a knee that is prone to not always holding me up, never mind a bike + passenger, put paid to my riding days (for now anyway)

A cracked crankcase has stopped me for the moment
I have heard of people dropping the forks in the yokes and fitting different shock linkages to get the ride height down on bandits (usually the 600 though)

Not "a better" - the only way (except that in Middle ages everyone forgot Latin and started writing the incorrect form XXXX).

This reminds me of our mailman in Texas, more than 35 years ago. He had a Spanish name which sounded a little like 'Enchilada'.He probably does not deliver any mail anymore.
