Irritating that the spam removal function doesn't seem to work anymore, isn't it?

Please try to avoid and reply gibberish to spam -> no value added, and worse, the message sticks as [deleted message] instead of vanishing once the spam police has their job done, causing visual pollution.

That's just the problem. It doesn't seem like reporting a post as spam removes it anymore... I've noticed that on other occasions where I know that both I and a lot of other people have reported a post, but still it isn't deleted. The member accounr is deleted, though (as it is in this case as well).

It does, but the number of reports was increased from 5 to 10 to stop the abuse of the abuse report function ( I hope you can follow), which seems to be quite a gap.

Yeah, but that doesn't explain why the account is deleted before that, but not the post?!?!?

I do not think the two are related.

I think they used to be, but I'm not sure if they still are.

Uhmmm, are you sure about that?
I am with Johnny J on this one. I recall seeing a post from Chris, where he said he doubled the report limit for accounts (from 6 to 12 as far as I can tell), but I don't think he mentioned anything about changing the report limit for posts.

Blame Mario. His eagerness to get members removed on flimsy whims like he didn't like them, led to it being removed.

I dunno, the OP is so weird, I'm tempted to vote we keep it, "Your ngo is eventful for yobbo ontogenesis.......They may not seem relevant, but if you bonk a delicate
minutes or so prior to commencing lifting weights." qualifies it as a great work of literature IMO

I have to give my 20 yo daughter credit - she confessed.
After explaining the symptoms of her laptop - all evil - she admitted she had set it down on her desk "abruptly". Yielding dark screens, BSOD, etc. And clicking noises ...
I recommend cloud storage for family debris...
I now leave it to the lounge to post 10s of witty responses to "abruptly"
She is shopping for a new laptop (current one is 5 yo)

Now that is just wrong, she should inherit yours and YOU should be out looking for a new beast.

True, but mine is 18 months old and I'm not giving it up.

I guess the new one will have an SSD with a high G rating.

I suspect so... She would do things like leave the laptop on her bed, the blanket underneath obstructing the vents then wonder why the fan was running so fast
I'm learning to stop caring. It's their laptop, bust it? go fix it, what part of this is my problem? Greatly reduces stress in my life when applied to all of their problems.

I just discovered a delightful site which hosts Understanding Breadbaking[^], a book written by a lady who really understands bread. It's not a collection of recipes, but a description of the theory and process of producing a fine loaf from scratch. It's short, and a great read, if you love home baked bread.

Baking bread. Bollocks. There are other substances that can be baked. Or they bake you. Or whatever. This post sucks. Pass me the stuff homie.
