Would be hilarious if they were electric cars.

Well, the limited editions just got a little more limited. Good for those who already have one of these cars.

This is "old" news as this ship burned and sank three weeks ago.

CodeWraith wrote: Whatever fuel may be left in the cars, it's a joke against the fuel oil in a wreck of this size
About a month ago there was an article in one of our tiny weekly local papers (more like 10 pages, 8 of them ads). The title was all about some oil spill concerns, and there was a picture of an overturned tanker truck that had come a little too close to a ditch alongside a rural road.
Then the article itself went on to mention the tank itself was fine; the concern they raised had to do with the amount of oil that had come out of the engine...
[Edit]
Here it is...
Quote:
"Its oil tank was not ruptured" [...] "A call to the oil company confirmed that a small amount of motor oil had leaked out of the truck’s engine when it toppled over into the ditch."
Clickbait much?

Not so much. The big difference is that the truck will not lie at the side of the road until the tank is rusted through. The motor oil is the only damage that actually has happened. A sunken ship is not recovered easily and will stay right where it is now and corrode. It's only a question of time until it releases an amount of fuel against which whatever may be in the cars is a joke.

Very important to fix your Twitter feed:
- Tap home button.
- Tap stars on upper right of screen.
- Select “Latest tweets”.
You are being manipulated by the algorithm in ways you don’t realize.
Easy to switch back & forth to see the difference.

... but right now we still have a chip shortage. It's not like I plan to invade another country and have to scrape together tons of components to keep my tanks rolling. I only need a single 74HC30. That's a very basic part that has been around since the early 1970s (if you count in the early TTL series). Just a tiny grain of silicon in a 14 pin package. Three of these pins are not even really used. It's also one of the fundamental parts of my DIY MMU.
Well, like the guy who wants to keep his tanks rolling, I have now scraped a 40+ years old TTL version (a 7430) out of some junk. Lets pray that all my fancy modern CMOS does not tell this relic to go climb a tree.

Much better already. HC and HCT should not be mixed as well, but it's certainly better than an ancient TTL version.
